A Cupcake bakers journey to success!!!

so..i just got on the scale about 5 minutes ago and.....drumroll please.........................................................

i lost 4 lbs!!!!!!!!!!

woohoo!!! i am so excited about my progress so far!! I was so paranoid that i was either going to gain or stay the same weight with no loss at all! i also got paranoid because last night before i went to bed, aunt flo decided to show up so i was scared that i would be all bloated and it would show on the scale! but anyways, i am very thrilled. this just motivates me to turn my exercise up a notch! i plan on doing more workouts on that arc trainer thing. that thing kicked my ass. lol. today is my C25K running day so ill be doing the treadmill today.

this is gonna be good week! hubby just left for work and i am about to eat my breakfast then go to the gym around 11:15, seems to be a good time at my gym cause its a dead time, theres usually only like 4 or 5 other ppl working out other than me. kinda nice.

before i know it, it'll be thursday and ill be on my way to surprise my family and friends in texas!! cant wait to see them all!

i hope you all are having a great day so far, ill be back later to post my intake for the day :)

Congrats on the 4 lb loss!

Way to go completing the first week of c25k! I'm doing my last day of week 1 today. I'm enjoying mixing up the exercise.

well hello there everyone!

im back from my mini vacation and have some blah news to fess up to. i did not do well, i was so excited about "watching what i eat and not letting my vacation derail me" but i did let my vacation de rail me. i ate my moms amazing filipino food and countless other things, without even trying to watch my calorie intake. idk what happened, its like something takes over my brain and just lets me give up and tells me oh its okay you can eat that, your on vacation. it just sucks. the regret that i feel now just makes me feel sick to my stomach. and even since i got back, we got back into town monday night....i still havent been watching what i have been eating. no exercise at all. its also hard right now too, (im not making excuses i swear) that trip we took kinda hurt us financially so i dont have money to get any groceries at all so i havent got much for food.

i did hop on the scale this morning tho...i was so depressed and worried that i did not want to because i was positive i was going to see those 4 lbs that i had lost come right back..but to my surprise they didnt! not all of them anyway!! before i left for vacation, my last weigh in was 184.2..this morning i weighed in at 185.8.

So i am really thrilled with that and am motivated to get back with my routine and get motivated again. this week is week 3 of the C25K program for me but im thinking about if i should repeat week 2 or if i should move along to week 3. idk..im gonna think about it tonight i guess..anyways i just wanted to stop in and let everyone know that im still alive and that i did make mistakes with my eating but IM NOT GIVING UP!!!! So tomorrow is a new day and its time to get back on it!!! Goodnight everyone i hope your all doing well!!

Hi Mindy,

Glad to hear you're not giving up. We all hit snags along the way but the important thing is to get back on track. Keep at it and stay positive.:hurray:

A less than 2 lb gain while on vacation isn't so bad. It's most likely water retention and you'll drop it quickly.

I repeated a day of c25k, one so I could get on a weekly schedule (Tues, Thurs, Sat) and two because I felt like I needed it. My knees are really sore, so this week has been tough. I'm looking forward to rest day! I say repeat the week if you felt like week 2 was too tough or if you're sore, otherwise move to week 3, you can always take the running part slower. Good luck in whatever you decide. You'll be a runner soon either way! :)

Welcome back Cupcake!

The past is the past...so rejoice in the fact that you didn't go crazy and put on 5 pounds...you're right at breakeven for vacation, so now, it's just a question of getting back into your good routine. I'd suggest a brisk 30 min. walk to start things back up...if you feel like more, go for it...but to pysch. your brain out, just go for 30 minutes...easy, but effective to start back up!
