A comeback....

I had decided to post my updates on monthly basis, so I weighed in today and I have lost another 2 kgs., so Now I have lost 6 kgs total!

I used to play badminton and Volleyball. But now, I can already feel the exhaustion from working in the night shift. During rest days, I'd rather sleep than go to a gym and play these sports. What motivations can you advise?

Hi All

Well I had been off this forum for a loooooooooooong time.....I was engrossed in work so much that I just kept procrastinating my exercise schedule........It was like tomorrow that never came for 2 months :( finally i needed to take charge again .........and I did my 45 minutes of cardio,,,,,,, well I have gained 2 kgs. weight but what I miss most is my smile and energy( positive indeed) i feel lethargic, dull and unenthusiastic most of the time.....Need to take charge of my life!

Starting weight --- 77 kgs
Current weight 74 kgs.

Glad to see you are back. Dont beat yourself up over taking some time off. Remember this is a lifestyle that lasts a long time. EVERYONE goes through some rough times. Just keep on doing what you KNOW how to do.

Enjoy the weekend!

Matt

Hey guys last week has been busy with a wedding in our family, so last week there was no time to exercise ,I am starting my routine from tomorrow itself, stay tuned and one more thing I am changing my diet this week shifting to high protein low carb diet under the guidance of a doctor :)

Day 2

Done with my turbo jam sculpting 45 minutes :), its fun!
Oh my god 2 days of exercise and I feel so gooooooood! Its the energy and the feeling that drives me :)
Thanks Princess_Lissa to stop by my post and give me some encouragement,I appreciate it :)What are your goals dear would like to know about it.
Take care :)

I haven't tried turbo jam, but it's getting me curious everyday...

My main problem is that I've got thunder thighs and I always spend soooo much time looking for the perfect bottoms that would suit me.

Also, I'm terribly workaholic that I often skip on exercising... yeah, my bad, but I'll have that fixed soon... :D

Do you work-out daily?

Day 3

Hey good news I have started a low carb diet under the guidance of a doctor(me being one also helps ;) experience counts though ! ),I weighed myself in the morning ,My weight is ---
Starting weight 77 kgs.
Current weight on 30th july 2009-- 72.9 kgs
I am excited about this new diet, lets see how it works :)
I did 45 minutes recumbent bike today, programme hill,rpm 45-60, calories burnt 120 :)

Hey princess, even I was a workaholic, I still am but we have to take time for exercise as being overweight makes your life dull, boring and uninteresting and believe me I have been there and done it all, I mean the phases of being regular in exercise and then being irregular again, but what I have realised so far is that weight issue is one thing but as we exercise daily its a bout of positive energy and raised spirits that matter which makes you confident, happy and gives you a feeling of hope and an everlasting smile :) and that matters the most, its not about how much we live its about how we live eventually that matters!Turbo jam is great dear, i realised it after visiting the before and after section in which a lady had lost oodles of weight using it, and it really inspired me a lot, I have tried it and it gives your body a great shape and I know it because I had experienced it :)You can start with their 20 minute workout its fun, even during my initial phases i did it for around 20 days till I got the moves and started loving exercise, anyways your brain gets used to a habit if we do it for 21 days regularly and its effective try it :)

Day 4

Settled for 20 minutes cardio workout of turbo jam, today had a very busy day,so done a 20 minute workout, better than not doing exercise at all :)

Day 5

Hi fellas and sweeties :) I finished with my pranayaam today, a good 45 minutes.I will be visiting my gym for a cardio session, plan to do 60 minutes of cardio,it will include 10 minutes of spinning and 50 minutes of cross trainer :)Today was my weigh in day for the diet that i have started 2 days ago

Starting weight- 77 kgs.
On 30th july- 72.9 kgs
on 1st august 09- 72.00 kgs :)

Take care :)

Congratulations!! 45 minutes of pranayama is awesome!! You are a total inspiration. When I go bck to my yoga class tomorrow, I will not skip pranayama.

What is this new diet you talk about?

How's your weekend going?

... but as we exercise daily its a bout of positive energy and raised spirits that matter which makes you confident, happy and gives you a feeling of hope and an everlasting smile :) and that matters the most, its not about how much we live its about how we live eventually that matters!)
Wow, I feel like a complete idiot that I didn't think of these things as driving forces to get my ass off the couch. Thanks, endurance, this is truly inspiring. I will check out turbo jam soon!

Hi fellas and sweeties :) I finished with my pranayaam today, a good 45 minutes.QUOTE]

I've noticed a couple people here on this forum are into pranayaam, which is really cool because I don't think I've ever seen it recommended before. Have you noticed a difference in your weight loss or health since you've started doing it? ...Sorry, didn't mean to hijack this thread, lol. :)

Hi

Hi buddies, last few days I was so busy that I could not stay updated on this forum, and I missed it a lot.Thankyou juni ,princess lisa nad hott potato for checking out my thread and sorry for replying late to you guys.
I am sure you all must be doing great and are making great efforts to reach your goals and improve your health and happiness and ultimately your life :)
So I was so engrossed in work that I just managed doing my daily pranayam sessions in the morning. My diet was not messed up in these days,so I am happy about this
Starting weight 77kgs.
Weight on 30th july- 72.9 kgs
Weight on 6 th august- 70.9 kgs
To juni- Hey definitely don't miss out on pranayam sessions they are awesome and slowly you will be able to master them, just don't rush up and give yourself some time and don't miss the sessions :)As you all know Rome was not built in a day and so please give yourself some time ,its hard to be disciplined and I am realising it day after day :)I wish I had realised it back in school itself :)
Anyways its not too late to mend your ways, better late than never!
To PRINCESS LISA-I am very glad to know if I have inspired you to do your exercise but let me tell you, you will definitely feel this change once you start exercising regularly and be a living example :),I will be looking forward for that day,Go for it girl :)
To hott potato-See i have been doing pranayam since last 6 months regularly though I knew it a long time before but my ignorance failed me to realise its importance.Answering your question, I have definitely seen a lot of changes after being regular with it,as I am more determined now,and less ignorant as well as arrogant if I put it this way :)I have also become disciplined and calm and it definitely has reduced my stress levels. As far as weight loss is concerned While doing these breathing exercises (pranayam)You make your body organs more efficient to perform the daily physiological functions, It also helps to remove toxins from your body, improve digestion, improves circulation and overall health of your body , so its an added advantage. See nowadays we are so busy that we tend to neglect our health and life I mean urban life is getting more stressful day by day and this is true everywhere I mean globally,We are all awed by the calmness and good health that the Rishis(monks) who dwell in himalayas and practise yoga and pranayam have, We can't afford to leave our life and settle in himalayas but we can certainly make these things(yoga and pranayam) a part of our lives and make it much more better :)

Hey and you can hijack my thread as often,I don't mind ;),You are most welcome :)
