Grils, you are the best!!!
I do not want to do actual, consistent childcare, just occasional babysitting. (I was thinking of calling it, "At the Drop of a Hat." Whatcha think?) So, people would be less likely to put me on their taxes, not pay me, etc.
I am afriad of the toll it will take on my brand-spanking-new house, but again, if it is hourly, less likely. And if a certain child is the spawn of Satan I can just not take him/her again.
I'm liking the Governess deal. You are too funny, Ex!
The hurricane thing. I'm still just sick about it. You're right, Fuunky. What we whined about was soooo not like this. For two of the hurricanes, I didn't even lose power! I whined that I was stuck inside my house with nowhere for the kids to go. And if only those people were stuck inside a house with nowhwere for the kids to go. I just keep thinking about the pregnant people and the single moms with a few kids. And the thought of relocating. It just reminds me of the wild west when people left everything behind and went off for adventure. What adventures will these people have? And all those people who boarded busses to TX assured that their families would be on their way. And they will be, but I doubt they will be sent to the same place since the Astrodome is filling up, as will other places. And what about the cities in TX? They are being so generous, but how will they fare. Thousands of people enrolling in their schools, entering their welfare system (I would think, since they left with nothing and have nothing), fighting to survive!
I hate to drone on. I'm normally a very optimistic person with little patience for whining, but I'm just trying to make sense of it all.
