I really should start to cut back on cakes and such next week. :rolleyes:

Breakfast: Oatmeal
Lunch: Spaghetti bolognese
Snacks: Banana, apple, piece of cake, handful of chips :eek:
Dinner: Sea-buckthorn and blueberry soup with whipped cream, 2 small buns with sliced ham
Drinks: Water, coffee and skimmed milk

Well, still 83 something!

On a positive note, I'm not gaining weight. LOL :banghead: Well I don't know, maybe tomorrow I'll start to step things up, cutting out cakes and cutting portion sizes. :( I have to think about that...

You really like your cake, huh? :)

Look at the bright side: once you reach your target weight - and you keep excercizing - you can maintain your weight even with cake.

So maybe to lose a bit more - it could be beneficial to cut down on the treats... i know easier said than done! But hey - you been so good until now - you can get there!!!

Up 0.7 kg, that's what I got for binging out on pancakes yesterday. LOL Still had cake today :eek: and probably I will have some birthday cake tomorrow but after that I'll say no more cakes. Then I'll just stick to two small cookies for my afternoon coffee. Also I only had one bun for dinner today. Really have to start cutting back on things now and try to see if I can get off this damn plateau. :banghead:

Hey TikTak - you are such a kiddie :)
you really have to put your mind into a "diet-mode" again if you wanna lose some more weight.
maybe if you are desperate for that cake - have it before 3pm - before workout - or something like that!

hey! plateaus are tough. probably helping you to justify the cake. haha i understand the feeling. how much cake are you eating a day? if you were to cut that back, i have a feeling you would bust your plateau? maybe just have your treat on the weekends? then it's more like a treat, and you can think of it as a reward for eating well through the week. i know, easier said than done. haha but i DID hear the tip on Biggest Loser, sooo it MUST be true.... right? :p hahaha

Consider the cakes a good thing that shook up your metabolism for a bit :) Then start eating healthy again and your weight should go down further I would think.

I'm not sure if its the same with everyone but i found the very occasional huge treat day when the scale wouldn't move (and I had kept up with exercise and eating well) did help kick start things over again. But it was also dangerous because then I would have to really reign myself in cause I loves me some junk food lol

Keep strong TikTak!! We all love cake (omg...I could go for cake too!), and we can eat it, just in moderation! Remember, you are working SOOO hard to lose that weight, you don't want cake to be your enemy and halt that process :)

but hey- you work SOOO freaking hard, and have been doing well for so long- treat yourself to a piece of cake here and there! You're well worth it!

Don't give up or get down- you are doing a great job, and everyone's weight goes up and down daily! Heck, i was +6lbs last night and now I'm back down to the weight I was the day before! our bodies are strange things!!

You're doing fantastic!
 
Thanks for your support everyone! Yes I really love to treat myself with cake for my afternoon coffee. But that has to stop right now!!! I will really try my best to break this plateau. I don't know if I'll make it 72 kg but to begin with I would at least try my very best to get to a BMI of 25 (77 kg) without starving myself.
 
Really good scale day today, down 2.1 kg since yesterday! The biggest drop in one day that I have recorded so far. This is also the lowest scale reading since the start of my journey. :D This was the last day of my 5 gym sessions a week regime. From next week onwards I will only do 2 gym sessions per week to maintain muscle mass. (Well technically I have only had two gym sessions this week also.) I will probably get some cardio from firewood work this month. Have a nice day!

Have you had any success just trying to eat a sliver or just a few bites of cake as your afternoon treat? Personally I find that extremely difficult to do, and keep having "one more tiny bit" until I end up eating even more than I would have if I'd just started out with a reasonable piece. But maybe you'll be more successful than I!!

Way to go on the weight loss, by the way! Isn't it great to see those smaller numbers on the scale? :D

@bongabonga No I havn't tried that but I think I would have no success in doing that. From now on it is no cake just a couple of small cookies (that are about 30-35 kcal a piece). Well maybe I have cake occasionally but not on daily basis. I'm really going to try my best this month to see if I can achieve some real wieght loss without starving myself or doing excessive exercise (I'm a bit lazy at the moment).
 
So I'm down 0.6 kg since last week but it's really hard to tell if there is some real weight loss in those numbers since my weight fluctuates so much from day to day. No cake today! I have reevaluated my calorie demand and come to the conclusion that it may be close to 2100 kcal not 2500 kcal. So that could explain why I have had a hard time to lose weight lately. Nonetheless I should lose weight if my daily consumed calories has been let's say 1500 kcal. But from now I will try to hold my calorie consumption to a minimum without starving myself. Today I've had approximately 1230 kcal and then I even tried to overestimate the numbers. :smash:

Breakfast: Oatmeal (150 kcal)
Lunch: Spaghetti bolognese (500 kcal)
Snacks: 2 small cookies (70 kcal)
Dinner: 2 small buns with sliced ham and cheese (300 kcal)
Drinks: Water, coffee and skimmed milk (210 kcal)

Down 0.6 kg since last week! :D

Todays weight: 83.9 kg
Exercise: None
