A 23.5 kg long journey down the scale

I don't want to sound all hard core but I bet your weight loss would speed up is you ate less starchy carbs. I don't know, I've gotten in to juicing and it has sped things up for me. Getting my carbs from vegetable juice mainly and maybe one or two portions of bread or pasta a day.

What do you mean? Aren't slow carbs supposed to be good? I don't think juicing would help me to feel full throughout the day. I though try to eat carbs with some sort of moderation, small portions etc.

Another bad eating day! Can't really complain if I'm not losing weight if I continue like this. In my defense I must say that both the buns and the bread was freshly home made today. Also I did only do 5 min. of cardio today, poor effort! I'll try to do better tomorrow, both with my diet and the exercise.

Breakfast: Oatmeal
Lunch: Meat balls with mashed potatoes, 2 slices of bread
Snacks: Apple, 3 buns, 2 small cookies, small piece of cake
Dinner: Blueberry pie
Drinks: Water, coffee and skimmed milk

Oh well! :toetap05:

hey tiktak - thanks a lot for your support :) :)

on a separate note- about carbs
slow carbs ARE good - what works for me is that i try not to eat them after like 3pm -as we burn more calories during the day as opposed to in the evening. i guess we are all different - so we all lose weight in different ways..so its just my opinion.

Keep up the good job!

Every time I come here I drool!! hehehe you have delicious meals TikTak!! And your work outs are fabulous! You're working very hard! :)

OK
You are out of the positive groove you were in

Try this....Try for one really good day..thats all just one, exercise and menu...You can do just one...then the next one will be way easier...but to start ..just one positive day

Hmm, I only did 9 min. of cardio today because I got so winded. :puke: Did 2-3 rounds of resistance training instead. Think I had a pretty good day diet wise, only a little bit naughty with blueberry pie for dinner.

Breakfast: Oatmeal
Lunch: Fish soup, small slice of bread
Snacks: Apple, 2 small cookies
Dinner: Blueberry pie
Drinks: Water, coffee and skimmed milk

OK, up 1.2 kg since last week! :banghead:

Good diet day today TikTak!

you can prepare some delicious healthy food too
once you find the recepies you really enjoy - eating healthy will be come more efortless!!! :) i promise!

Well you are up this week on the scale..but you can turn it around!!
just keep continue the good diet!

Keep up the positive thinking :)

You can do this! Remember, your weight loss is completely in YOUR hands! And you can do this!!!

Like brawny said, one good day a week is great! And hey, you can TOTALLY do that :)

I know what you mean about getting winded with cardio! I find that happens to me a lot...however, I've also notice that there's a wall i hit. When I'm nearing this wall, I want to quit, I feel horrible all over, am winded, and just HATE what I'm doing...but I have noticed that if I push through it...I feel better!

Also, you might want to try interval training...I find this helps a lot...I go at an intense rate for a 2-3 minutes, and then at an easier rate...this lets me recover, and ALSO helps to get through the horrible parts because I know they're not going to last long :D

Just remember, you're doing a great job! We all have ups and downs, but every time you exercise and eat healthy, is a step in the right direction (even if you don't see the results immediately :)

*hugs*

@Justina
Yes I could probably prepare some healthy food myself if I was not so lazy. I tend to eat what is served (my mother is doing the cooking). I'll try to keep ot up though the scale readings are a bit off. Sooner or later I will see results on the scale I hope.

@Tik
I'll try to keep up with my good diet habits. Sooner or later I will defeat the scale. Maybe I just had a bad day yesterday with the cardio? I've been looking into interval traing as well and I find it less boring than steady state cardio plus you get those less intense intervals with rest so maybe I'll try to do more of that in the future. Yes every good day is a step in the right direction no matter what the scale is saying!

Today I tried on some old pair of jeans that I haven't worn for years. They had 34" waist and I could just fit into them (normally I still wear jeans with 38" waist). What I really noticed when I tried them on was the amount of flab that I still have all around my waist line. I have to say that I still have a long way to go before I can wear skinny jeans without feeling like a stuffed flabby glob. LOL :leaving:

Breakfast: Oatmeal
Lunch: Fish soup, small slice of bread
Snacks: Banana , clementine, 2 small cookies, piece of cake
Dinner: 4 rice cakes with ham and low fat cheese
Drinks: Water, coffee and skimmed milk

A step in the right direction!

Woohoo! You're doing great!!

And I think no matter HOW skinning you are, you still have a little bit of that "muffin top"!! hehehe

Congrats on fitting into your skinny jeans! I relish that day!! :)

Keep up the great work! You're really seeing the progress!!

Thought I would try to set up rewards for reaching some goals. Next goal is to be sub 80 kg. I haven't had one of my all time favorite treats, kebab, for years probably. This may be stupid but I think my reward for reaching my next goal should be a big juicy kebab roll. Let's see if that will get the scale moving. Now I'm all obsessed with kebab, so maybe it was not such a great idea... :willy_nilly:

Breakfast: Oatmeal
Lunch: Fish soup, small slice of bread, piece of crisp bread with low fat cheese
Snacks: Orange, 2 small cookies, piece of cake
Dinner: 2½ pancakes with strawberry jam, slice of loaf
Drinks: Water, coffee and skimmed milk

i m really craving an indian meal...i know how u feel
i think if you wanna have a kebab - just have it for lunch - and you can work it out in the afternoon - it worked for me the last few days!!

LOL! I love you kebab treat! It's a great idea!!

You're doing fantastic! And I wish I had your willpower to stay away from the food I love! You're workin' it!!!!

I am going to have to channel some TikTak in order to avoid chocolate!!

Hi TikTak :)

When i first started going to the gym i felt it was a necessary evil i hated it. I was bored i hated being out of breath and sweaty. I now look forward to it even cardio. I'm getting addicted to the runners high haha. I found having an mp3 player with some high BPM music I enjoy helps me get in the zone and I go for it! I get pumped up and before i know it I need to hop on a new machine. I do interval training as well so it helps me stay entertained while exercising. When it gets hard and i want to give up I picture my goal and i focus on it it usually helps me on a tough day.

Good luck with your next weigh in!

Got to resist kebab for now, not before the scale says 79.x kg I can have it. :leaving: I allow myself little treats every day, though. Namely cake and cookies, seems like I can't have my coffee without them.

@Pixie I try to motivate myself to get through the cardio and I haven't had this kind of problems up till now. It's really wiered, it has gotten to point that I almost dread the cardio now. I quess I must keep on trying and hope it's perhaps just a phase that I must go through.
