Let me share another insecurity with ya'll.

I have never been a skinny person. I look pretty much the same now as I always have. My weight has gone up and down, but I've pretty much ranged from a size 14-18 my entire adult life.

Now that I am down over 20 lbs I can see some results, but I am afraid that when I get to my goal of 160 I still won't really look any different. I know that's impossible, but in my heart I really don't see myself ever looking different than I do right now.

I wish so much that I could have an accurate picture of how I will really look at 160!
 
mmm, chicken soup does sound really good. I wonder if I can make a low carb version. I've got chicken broth and chicken.

Drat! Up .2 from yesterday. Not much, but drat! I did pretty good too.

So I just wandered into the office kitchen here and found a pack of tuna I thought I'd eat for breakfast. Then I remembered we had mayo left over from a BBQ we had last weekend. So i thought I"d make tuna salad. Then I found relish! And buns! So now I turned my 90 calorie tuna snack into a 400 calorie tuna sandwich....

Maybe I can say this was lunch instead....
 
I think 400 calorie breakfest is good. Breakfest gives you energy and keeps you from being so hungry. Just have a small lunch with healthy snack! And don't fret the .2!!! I know I am one to talk but that is so miniscule!!! and when you drop you'll drop by pounds not .2's!!

Thanks for the encouragement Mishi! And for reading Hackers - as many times as I've recommended it I don't think anybody else has looked at it. It just made sense to me, and I hope you enjoy it.

I've discovered a park about a half a mile away from my office. I think I'll take a walk there today and try getting out during my lunch hours.
 
Your tuna story made me laugh. Isn't that how it always works, you start out small, then find little hitch hikers on the way, pretty soon you've got your calories up by a few hundred. That happened to me last night with the cream cheese. lol

I'm SO discouraged right now. The scale just isn't cooperating. I've been doing so good this week and it's just going up and up and up! Here I am barreling into 9 days away from home trying to get the momentum to stay strong and the scale is working against me! I hate it!
 
Yay!!!! 180's!!! That is awsome! Every once and awhile you go through little ups and then they will go back down. You stayed strong and yay!!!
 
Yay! Still in the 180s!

I have some weird flu-like illness. I have a fever and a headache and my body aches and I'm a little queezy, but no head symptoms like a cough or runny nose. I have slept 25 of the last 48 hours, and didn't make it to the gym yesterday. I'm taking the day off of work and am going to crawl in bed and watch some movies. Maybe nap if the urge comes.
 
well, I napped. A lot. Strangest thing, i had a temp of 101.6 at 6:00 this evening, and then it was back down to 98.6 at 7:30. At least I'm feelin' better.

I ate a bunch of pizza today, and didn't work out, but oh well. I have a little bit of leeway on my chart right now and I just craved the pizza. I plan to work out tomorrow morning though depending on how I'm feeling.

I bought colder weather work out gear for the kansas trip :)
 
I should take a page from your book. It has been snowing for two days and the whole town is shut down!!! and this is the desert!! Need warm workout wear!! Hope you have a wonderful trip!!
 
Hi! I just read the first page of your posts, A really fun thing to do instead of working out on a treadmill or whatever is DANCE! I tried to do jumping jacks but it was too hard on my feet so I put in a cd and danced until I could'nt dance any longer.I can't dance very good but no one is watching me (exept for my 3 month old) so I just go crazy and it is so much fun!!! I dance to salsa and cumbia's.The latin ryhthms realy get you to want to move your hips and shake it like shakira!!!!
