...one idea - a BBC docum. I watched said that a study showed that a clear-broth veggie soup pre-meal/as appetizer really helps reduce calories during the meal....



...otherwise - I try to have a little healthy-snack before I leave for a meal -out ( bit of fruit/ some cheese)- not being starving seems to help in "binge-risk" on the restaurant menu choices....

Ha! Ha! If only that were true. In the real World I have been trying to lose the same 50 lbs for a year now but thanks for the encouraging words and dieting tips. I'm just taking it one day at a time trying to make it 10 days without a binge.

... I hear ya - I've struggled with the same pounds over & over lots too ( am currently working on 15lbs. I regained since summer 2011)...and the 15lbs. before that were gained over the previous year....and so ....and so on.

...but....U should give yourself some credit too - you have managed to lose so much weight , lots of times, you have the strength and have made those losses happen , U can do it again...

- ..... .. and one day at a time, once choice at a time is a good plan....each choice, each day adds up.... you'll suprise yourself....I know I've suprised myself this past month... I think the support - the good folks on here - is a big help too...... this work is hard - and every little bit of help makes the "good choices" a bit easier....


...I still say - U can do it ! ....just give yourself credit . :rolleyes: - will be watchin' tomorrow for day 10 dude !

I give myself credit 4 letting myself get 121 lbs overweight & not having the fortitude to take off the 100 lbs I pledged to lose last year. However I am glad that I can still shed weight when I put my mind to it. And I am grateful for this forum and the people here because it keeps me accountable.

Oops! Took my Daughter 2 C some of her Rock&Roll Pals play @ The Basement last night. We had dinner at Applebee's. I had the salad bar and I didn't think I was binging but boy was I wrong! Must have been those mini cheese bisquits. Gained back 2 lbs...:ack2:

Hey Free - don't fret - restaurant food usually has lots of hidden salt - likely some water gain happenin' - bet it's Gone ASAP...

( I found on Katahn's rotation - fairly low carb/low salt - so when I eat out - usually do pick up a couple pounds or more - but usually gone with 1-2 days back on Rotation).... .......

~ I'm out tonite for Indian food - hope that's not too brutal on the scale either...will seee ??.....

Good Luck w/ Indian Food. It's such a bummer 2 eat salad bar & gain 2 lbs. Hope U R right about water gain.

Disgusted w/ myself! My Daughter had long rehearsal 4 her concert this week (She is doing a duet with UT Prof who was graduated from Julliard.) To while away the hours, I went to a Mexican restaurant and had a beer, spinach dip, chips & salsa. I can just feel the fat cells multiplying & now I can't sleep.
 
Hey Free - sorry to hear the Binge-Free stretch got busted :eek: - but tha't s the Ups/Downs of weight loss eh ?....even the mighty falter a bit sometimes....


Glad to see the 1,200cal day ( to help off-set some of the binge calories ) -


so cool to hear your Daughter is doing a duet with a Juilliard Prof- U must so proud of her :angel:


Beer, dip/,chips/salsa....not a terrible binge- U could have done a lot worse - I'm sure your fat-cells are Not multipyling after just 2 slip-days ( maybe their a bit swelled-up...but not Multiplying yet ! lol).


Hope the trip is nice - ? maybe consider some exercise ( walking? ) in the mornings - before the days get going - so U can balance-off the restaurant/food /away from home calories...:svengo:
