I'm all freaked out about my knee now, cuz I was talking to my dad the other day, and I tell him I NEED to get the knee looked at- doesn't REALLY hurt, but it grinds something fierce, and he goes- yeah, probably gonna need surgery on it. Aww, thanks dad :) He says that every time I get drunk and fall I'm adding to the cartillage(SP!!) buildup, haha- I only fell ONCE when I was drunk, the other time was a car accident, but its nice to know which one stands out in his head, lol.

Hey Jess! That's too funny about the kids at the pool hall. It's SO TRUE though that kids are SO ENTITLED these days! It's like we should all be so happy that they are blessing us with their presence lol!

I KNOW! I always look back and think, JEEZ, I was a horrible kid. And now I know: I was a FRIGGIN ANGEL compared to these monsters!

God I hope so.. If I can just get 6lbs, I can say I've lost 20. It would be super nice to say that, but 15 is a good number too I guess :rolleyes:

Crunch time. We have it in us. I'm on day two of being strict! Gotta stay focused. Lets see some net loss before vegas. hehe

Lets hope the next 15 days are smooth sailing, cuz its hard for me to say no to ice cream :)
 
I'm sure everyone will be absolutely SHOCKED to hear- I didn't go to the gym last night
:( First "real" day I have missed in a few months, I think... It wasn't intentional, but my sister got home from their trip at 11pm, and we bs'd about family, and our other sister( apparently as soon as they got there she started devouring pop and sweets. Makes me sad :( ) and she pulled out all the stuff she bought me- a new pair of gym pants from gap- the ONLY ones I looovvveee and I just ripped a giant hole in my original pants the other day, so she got me a replacement(sad that she had to go to MN to get em for me considering theres a friggin GAP next to my store- but apparently they don't think that selling womens xxl is good for business here, lol). So anyway, I change, put my hair up, get my palm pilot and water ready to go, and lo and behold- its almost 230am. Psh. I try to be OUT of the gym by 230am, so it just wasn't gonna work with having to get up early. :( I'm gonna hopefully make it up on Friday tho- need the points for Vegas, AND really can't lose a workout day with 5-6lbs to lose in 15days.

So I don't open tomorrow morning, and because of that, I was able to work out a little longer than normal: did my 30min of shoulders, and then did 30min of back, and for cardio: cross trainer, 1hr and 15minutes, 5.46miles. It was a sweaty workout- ever since I saw the post that CurvyGirlie left- where she averaged like 7min a mile??!- I've been trying reallllly hard to get my average a little better, and yeahhhh, I realized that doing an elliptical or a cross trainer is different than actually running, but damn, I busted ass! I still didn't really get much below 13min40sec, maybe by a few seconds, but I hope that five miles helps my overall total this week :)

Gonna *try* to get to the gym earlier tomorrow night, try to do some extra minutes on weights and cardio, butttt I can't promise that, because I always say it, and never do it, lol...

Try to sub in some of the low cal stuff, that might help. I've tried some really good ones.

I knoowwww! How horrible... I could just eat ice cream alllll day. Its been a few weeks since I've been to a DQ, so I'm pretty proud of myself...My teensy little sister called me yesterday and goes, "Going to Wendys- want some ice cream?" SERIOUSLY?! She sees me killin myself to be able to wear her jeans, and she wants to know if I want ice cream. Shit YEAH I want ice cream. Thats why I can't have it hahaha!

But I did find this little recipe where ya take a serving of cool whip and a serving of cream cheese(lofat of course :) ) and mix it together, and I put a dab of almond flavoring in it, and then use it as fruit dip or dip your 100cal cookies in it, or hell, I could probably make "ice cream" with it.. but its tasty, and it hits the sweet spot without overloading ya with sugars or calories :) I think thats the only reason I'm able to avoid ice cream right now, lol.
 
My computer didn't want to let me on this site again last night, so heres yesterdays workout: chest/shoulders. Cardio, 50min, 3.67miles on cross trainer.

Tonight: bis and tris. Cardio: 50min and 3.58miles on cross trainer. I was definately moving a little slower than normal tonight... end of the week always seems to be the worst :rolleyes: PLUS- my friggin knee hurt a little today, so yeah, when I get back from Vegas, I HAFTA get it looked at. My luck it'll lock in place while I'm kneeling or something, lol. Wooh, sounds fun. I've been taking stuff for my joints, but if what my dad said is what I've got-a buildup of cartilage- the supplements aren't gonna help me any.

So this is a lame question, and I am very aware of it, but everyone thats going to Vegas: What do I WEAR?! lol, I only ask cuz a verrrry long time ago Christen posted a pic of a cute tiny little dress shes bringing, anndddd I don't do really anything but jeans and tshirts... so help me out a little here! :)

She DOESN'T eat organic, she eats like CRAP!!! Shes even the first to admit that she doesn't understand why shes not all fat n floppy, but ohhh well. Such is life :rolleyes:

The recipe IS delish! I usually put a little almond extract in it, but tonight I did coconut extract- pretty tasty. I'm gonna hafta freeze some one of these days, see if its ice cream or cheese cake texture-y.

I went to the gym tonight, and did quite a bit of extra everything thru the week after I missed the day, so I feel ok about it now :)

Only one week till the gym goes non-24 hour :( I'm so sad!
 
So one of my employees gave me this piece of chicken he made- AMAZING- just chicken marinated in hot sauce, rolled in oats and baked. Fan-fricken-tastic. So I went to the grocery store today and got some stuff to do it in the next coupla days :) YUM! Anyway, so I was just gonna do a bag of steamfresh veggies and maybe some chicken on the side for supper, and my sister wanted to go to HuHot... Ok. I KNOW its not the healthiest, and I am perfectly aware that I said I was gonna be super strict, but we went. It was delicious, and realllly the only bad stuff is the sauces and the noodles, and even THERE I used the wheat noodles and a TON of veggies to make me feel better about it :) We did order a small app. of egg rolls- really really tiny egg rolls, only 3 on the plate, so we each had 1.5 egg rolls with the food. I really don't think I did to bad, tho I don't know the calories I took in, but I feel ok with my choices today :D i'm actually ok with em.. strange, sometimes you eat out and feel like you just made the most god aweful choice, and you pig out, and then, only AFTER you've enjoyed 2nds and 3rds and dessert, you feel bad. What a relief to just be happy with my food for once!

Didn't go out again tonight- 100% a. ok. with that.. watched movies with my sister- WANTED to go see Saw5, but yeah right- the theatres are gonna be a mess for a week or two.. bleh. hate crowded theatres!

Went to the gym(yay!), heres my workout:
didn't focus on one body part, did a blend of everything, minus legs. Cardio: 45min cross trainer, 3.33miles.

Hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow- the scale has been really nice to me AFTER eating everynight, so I'm hoping my pre food weigh in will be fantastic....

About what to wear in VEGAS:.....I think that jeans and t-shirts sound good! :iagree:....I'm a jeans and t-s kinda girl myself! But I do think that we are planning to probably go out to a club or something at night. If you don't have a dress, I think some black pants with a nice top will work, and something other than tennis shoes if you have them of course. I think that will make you fit right in! :iagree:......

...don't worry....YOU'LL LOOK GREAT! :grouphug:

I went ahead and decided to post this weeks bonus (since no one is checking who's turn it is anymore. lol).

Since it's posted late, this bonus will go into effect MONDAY (10/27/08). That's 5 days to rack up some points! By now, the strong have survived and are still participating in this challenge. We can handle this! The weak are gone, so no excuses for not being able to get your exercise on!

Week 20: SUPER BONUS Challenge 10/25/08-10/31/08

-Each day that you perform an additional 30 minutes of exercise (on top of the regular hour of exercise each day) give yourself 1 extra point (both exercise and weights times count). NO MAX POINTS, so you can really go for it this week and make up some ground by being able to get unlimited exercise points!!!:jump:
