3rd Times a Charm!

Hey Jess,
I thought I'd stop by and say hi! I read a couple of your posts and it sounds like you have great workouts!! I wish my workouts were that good!! Right now I'm concentrating on eating habits and just started on the treadmill.. I'm going to start JM dvd soon.. as soon as TOM is better.. If the cramping went away I'd do it now but I'm waiting... anyways hope your having a great day!!

haha! If you were to go back about five months, you'd see that my workouts were pretty lame compared with what I can do now... I'm pretty happy that I've increased my stamina and ability that much, and I only hope to get better from here :)

Tonights workout: shoulders; cardio: cross trainer 1.5hours, 6.76miles. Definately a bit slower than yesterday, but once I hit that hour mark I actually considered not putting more time into the computer, so I guess the extra half hour at a slower, less intense pace is STILL better than nothing at all!

I did really good on food all day, and then after my workout, I had some cottage cheese (yumm!!), and THEN ate some fiber 1 crackers n cream cheese :( Not cool. I actually feel kinda yucky now, lol. The cottage cheese was enuf, whyd I hafta pig out on crackers n creamcheese?! Dumb! Gaa~! I really hope I didn't kill all my stats for the week over some stupid fattening snack :(

All my friends want me to go out on Friday :( Im nervous... people sabatouge, without knowing it, and this is probably how it'll go for me: Guys- I may have a red beer, but I plan on just drinking lots of water. Come on Jessie! I'll pay- have a shot. Oh, heres another! WHAT?! Your done with that one to? Have a few more. And so forth, lol. A shot of vodka alone has 60-ish calories- useless info unless you actually care! Annnd I'm the only one that cares in this group, hahaha! *sigh* Just gonna hafta be reallllly careful.

Going to sign up at a new gym tomorrow, nervous! Might get a little time in there, to test it out, and then hit my regular gym for one last workout, *sniff* ! Goodbye, 24 hour wonderfulness...hello sleep.

Yeah I like your post about workouts too. If you go back even a few months the differences in physical capabilities are pretty impressive sometimes. Keep killing it!!

BTW, hope the new gym works out (pun intended).

lol, I went into panic mode, cuz there ARE no clubs in Montana. We have hick bars and sports bars. Wooo. So I found a cute shirt that'll look good with some black pants and some cute shoes(that I wore ONE time in a wedding, at least I'll get some use outta them). But the rest of the trip will be ts and jeans and flipflops. My favorite outfit :D I can't believe its so close!
PERFECT!!!!! :party:.........it's ONNNN BABY, I haven't been to more than one club in Vegas either .....so YEAAAAAAAAAA...CLUBS here we COME!!!!! :iagree:

Yeah, subconsiously I think everyones scared to be "the fat friend". I've never been smaller than any of them, and I've mentioned it in here before, the Drew Carey theory- an average looking person will always have a friend that is either big, or ugly. Therefore, when trying to be picked up, you automatically look hotter. LOL! Its true. Noone can deny this :)

Got signed up at the gym today- I think I'll be ok. Its small, but even at 6pm it wasn't overly busy, and my crosstrainers were available, so thats a good thing :) I might TRY to go in tomorrow after work-I usually take Fridays and Saturdays off- to make up for the empty calories I'll probablyyyy be drinking :rolleyes: sigh. wow.

Tonights workout: Bis and tris. Cardio: crosstrainer, 1hr, 4.4miles. Was moving SUPER slow tonight, my knee started acting up today... Had actually only set the timer on 45 min cuz it ached that bad, but when the 45 was up, I went the extra 15 just cuz it wasn't as bad by that point. After Vegas, MUST MAKE APPOINTMENT. I don't really feel like getting a new knee by the age of 30, lol.

I can totallyyyyyyyy relate with the people sabotaging! People that aren't watching what they eat/exercising, can make it SO difficult. But hang in there. You DO have the self-control. You can do it! My roommates did that a lot. "Oh hey Jes, we ordered pizza, have a slice!!" This after I just got home from the gym after busting my @$$. Yeah guys sounds like a great idea! :p I'm more vocal about my new lifestyle. I'm constantly reading the nutrition labels and reading off the calories. I went grocery shopping with one of my roomies yesterday and she was like, "Damn it Jes, you have me looking at the calories, fat, etc. too!!!" So it's slowly rubbing off. Whew totally went off on a tangent. Sorry!

Get your knee checked out soon, woman! It's good you got the exercise in but health is first.

You have been doing awesome with the exercise lately. Keep it up!!!!!!!!! You are going to look GREAT for Vegas!! :)
 
Oh jeez. Ate a lot of halloween candy this weekend... bad! :( Friday night I did really good tho- 1 red beer, and 2shots of tequila, THATS IT! Woo! So, the candy was my sisters(who lives with me) so today I told her to hide it in her room, lol. She goes, why not just ignore it?? I say, well, do you leave alcohol sitting in front of an alcoholic?! She agreed, and it is hidden now :D

Today was my first day at the new gym- was sooo nervous on the way out there, felt like starting a new school! It was really bizarre going to the gym at 1pm, when I have been going to the gym NO earlier than 11pm for the last few years, lol. The machines are brand new also, which threw me off a little. It will probably take me a few uses to get used to them. I used the same brand of cross trainer that I used at the old gym, only obviously an upgrade, but I don't know if they count different?? Cuz heres my workout: legs, cardio: precor cross trainer, 45min, 3.89miles. Almost 4 miles in 45 minutes?! The old precor I was averaging just under 14 min per mile, and this one says I was averaging under 12 minutes per mile. Just seems weird to me. Different machines I guess... so who knows which one was correct now!

Was gonna do a full hour of cardio, but again, knee was acting up a little, and also had to get a haircut. Frizzy mass needed a trim :)

K, its bout 430am, I'm tired, will be back to check on everyone tomorrow :)

You know, as someone who goes out A LOT and tries to not drink, your drinking this weekend is enviable!!! The best thing you can do is really just drink tonic water but if people are buying the drinks then it is hard to say NO, which is where I always slip up!

I'm glad you like your new gym, but those machines are assholes. I hate how I never know if they're telling the truth or not! I just figure a half hour at some percentage intensity is great for me, and leave it at that. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!! Vegas soon and I can't wait to here from all of you!

I never know how accurate the calories burned and mileage on the machines are. I would just go with whatever the new machine says :p haha it makes you feel good!

The scale was NOT happy with me today :( Says I was up 2lbs... I deserved it. I ate like hell, and the scale tells no lies, lol. Only 2 days till Vegas, gotta work my behind off till then. SO EXCITING!

My little sister went to the gym with me tonight- she was only able to do about 5min on the elliptical and 10min on the treadmill, but she was sweating hardcore. I was proud of her for going. She called me a little bit ago, said that after she left she went to the grocery store to get some work lunches, and on the way home I was still at the gym- she was embarrassed for leaving so soon. I'm not. She did great, shes just gotta work her way up to it... shes got a lot to lose, and even us smaller people didn't start out easily, so I hope she sticks with it :) She says shes going with me tomorrow, also, so thats great!

Tonights workout: 30min blend of tris(gross fat things :( ), shoulders, and chest. Cardio: cross trainer 1.5hours, 7.94miles. Was gonna do another half hour of cardio, but hellllll no. I was sweaty, tired, and knew that I had some cleaning to do... AGAIN tho, soo weird going that early! I was outta the gym before 10pm- in the past, I haven't even THOUGHT of working out before 11pm. Kinda nice :)

Past history?? Eh... I was in a car wreck a long time ago, jammed both knees into the dashboard, did a little damage, and then about 5years ago I mighta been a little drunk ( :blush5: ) and slipped in a puddle of water on a hotel floor, knee went one way, the rest of me the other, NOT NORMAL, but I still got up and kept goin allll night and then spent the next 12 weeks in a stupid brace, lol. Don't drink and walk! hahaha!
SO anyway, its always clicked a little, both of them have, but NOW, my left knee GRINDS. All the time, doesn't quit. You can put your finger on my knee and feel it grinding... and so now its starting to hurt... bleh. Don't wanna deal with it, lol.

I hear ya on the pics to- years ago I was at my alltime high, and i still have a few pics that I keep on my palm pilot just to remind me what I can never look like again. Besides, its nice to get the compliments, the smaller clothes, etc. :rolleyes: its taking its time, but its happening.

You know what Ive noticed this too. No one pays attention to me or make fun of me like I thought they were going to. Maybe it is a thing like hey good for her that shes in here type of thing...who knows.....

Anywho thanks for stoping by my diary! What are your stats by the way...i kinda skimmed your diary...its pretty long! :) Like my old one used to be sniffle sniffle :)
