Hey Relly, I'm so glad to see you happy with your life these days. I agree with Kimberley, if you're cold and tired a lot and having trouble losing then its time to get your thyroid checked out. You sure work your ass off and I just dont believe you're sitting around over eating all the time. Yeah, we all go off our plans here and there but I do believe you should be creating some sort of calorie deficits with all the exercise and the fact that I do not for a second believe you're a glutton when it comes to food. Maybe not perfect but not to the extent of this weight issue. It doesn't add up girl. Go have this checked out.
 
Hey Cinder!! Just coming in to wish you a good week!! Keep going forward, and hopefully you will soon find out what's causing your plateau's and why your not losing like you should be. Your always burning calories, and even when your not doing the elliptical your up working all the time, so hmmm that leaves me stumped. Take Care of yourself maybe visit your doc, maybe you are like Amy and have some levels in your blood that are low and need to be corrected. I'll check on you in a few days. ADAM - it is sooo great to see you:D:D:D - We really need to try to talk more online - prob is if im not working or sleeping im working out or cleaning this damn place that doesnt clean itself - teenagers and preschoolers - GEEESH!!!LOL

Korrie - Im just busy working all the time - Im on call and prebooked and go non stop...plus it is 10 hr shift work - it gets exhausting with the kids...

Im disappointed however i am now taking charge agian - everythign else in my life is in order for once - Im happy and feel great by myself , my kids, my situation everythign - I am honestly and truly happy again - I have exercise under control now it is time to get the eating under control agian...

My first Weight Watchers meeting is tonight - Michelle and I are joining tonight and i will be leaving shortly...

I just did 45 mins of the Biggest Loser Circuit wwith skipping in between my reps - geeesh exhausting :) I worked last night it was the overnight which is a cleaning shift...and I was also outside running around and playing with my little one:)

It is off I go...i think this will be the beginning of a new chapter for me and i will start relosign the weight agian...

My new goal for now is to just get below 200 - I wanna see the 190's and go from there.

One thing I forgot to mention that I thought was the coolest - was that Taneesha my 3.5 yr old did my 45 min circuit with me:)Im raising her well!!!Even the ab work!!!

That's great that you're feeling happy with your life. I'm feeling that way, too--for the first time in a very long time. It's a great feeling, isn't it? :)

Way to work the exercise. You always seem to bust butt with that, and kudos for getting your little girl involved as well. Teaching her good habits at a young age will hopefully make it so she never has to struggle with this issue like the rest of us here do. :)
 
The meeting went well - I weighted in at 239.2 that part sucked but what can ya do...im anticipating it is downward from here - im actually kinda excited - we will see what becomes of this next week.

You havent posted anything for over a week - I presume that you are really busy (as normal) - but hope that things are ok.

Dont let that 239.2 number phase you. Many of us have been there and a lot higher. It will come down in time.

Have you managed to follow the WW plan?

Have you been back to WW since posting this? How did it go?

Have you thought any more about getting that thyroid checked out? Many of us find out that we had medical issues that were never exactly helping matters.

It is great that your daughter loves to exercise with you. If she loves exercise she will never develop our problems. That could save her a ton of trouble in later life.

I havent posted since no. ALl I have bene doing is working - I worked 8 days straight.BLAH!!!

A position has come up at work - unfortunately it is nights , however, I will apply for it. Im just a little on the fence about it...It has alot of cons lol...but you get 3 paid weeks vacation and full benefits...im a great match in the house and love the guys and the staff...it will just turn my world upside down...

I lost a whole freakin lb, I knwo better than nothing , better than loosing but still only a lb. My eating wasnt perfect but I stayed with in my points and earned activity points. They gaurantee you that as long as you follow the program you will loose...so Im here to blow that theroy hahahaha...

Im doing Weight Watchers for 5 weeks if no weight loss or hardly any than I will go to the doc abt my thyroid...it has been checked many times over agian but never nothing...Im recording everything I eat and do for the next 5 weeks so If I dont loose or hardly loose - I can show him - hey look...I should be loosing...

I like the program I find it easy enough to follow, it is focused on healthy, and portions...you have alot of free foods as well...basically it follows the food guide

Anyway tha tis it for me - working non stop strugglin with stress and exercise, food a little bit this week as it was my aunts bday and now it is mine coming up on SUnday...We are celebrating on Friday night as I have family obligations starting at 945am Sunday...Happy Bday to me hey...

What's up Cinderelly!!! I didn't know you were on WW too! So am I. I am on week 10 this week. So far I am down 16.2 pounds since I started. Of course I could have done better at it, but sometimes a girls gotta eat! Anyhow, good job so far. Let me know how you like it. I have some low point recipes for Mexican food if you want them.

I hope that you enjoyed your birthday celebrations. It is quite nice that your aunt's birthday is so close to yours - so you could have joint celebrations.

You always are so busy with work and the family - I well remember the joys of working long hours and never getting time at home. No fun! I hope that things improve for you as we can only work so hard for so long before we hit burn-out. I can understand you seriously considering the work opportunity that you have been offered though. Sometimes it is hard to look at the big picture and weigh up the pros and cons.

I know how easy it is to feel disappointed with weight loss of a pound. We can look at how much weight we would like to lose and it can feel like a big number and then when you think how hard you have worked for the loss - and it can feel that it will take such a long time to get there.

The fact is that a pound of fat is quite a lot of fat. I like to think about how big two half pounds of butter are. If I visualise that it helps me appreciate that my health has improved if I do not have that clogging up my insides.

When you think of a pound like that - it sounds like WW is working for you.

I havent got round to joining WW yet - but plan to do so in either one or two weeks time. Their program sounds ok if there are a lot of free foods. I wonder how the food that I normally eat translates into their points - I hope that lots of it is free.

I certainly think that it is a good idea to get your thyroid checked.

To determine if you have a thyroid issue, try taking your temperature while at rest 3 times a day every 3 hours for three days around the 3rd day of your cycle, then calculate your average temp per day by adding up the 3 temps for the day and dividing by 3. If the average temperature is below somewhere in the mid 98. something range) that is supposedly indicative of a thyroid problem (despite what any tests may show). Some doctors believe the range of what's not normal for thyroid hormone is lower than what other doctors think, so you could be in the low range of normal, but for you its NOT normal and results in a slow metabolism. Find out what your prior tests showed as far as ranges. Its hopefully is not the problem at all, but its worth checking it out further if things dont improve.
 
I missed your birthday???? I'm sorry hun ...I hope it was great! I wonder why your not loosing??? thats weird. I"m not a fan of WW myself, I dont' see the difference between counting points and counting cals....but thats just me.

I saw on weigh every day that you have been working a lot of nights again this week since you last posted here. I hope that you get some sort of normal spell soon - rushing around and working long hours cannot be good for you.

I hope that WW are going well. I am thinking of joining them in a week or two.

Korrie my bday wasn't shown on the thingy - I guess I never fully filled out my acct info - fine by me - ha ha ha

Well I thought I would post since it has been weeks...Ive been so busy it is crazzzy

For starters I work non stop - Taneesha and I go to Yoga class, art class and parachute class together plus she goes to preschool twice a week. Im at my max of activities...Ive been working nights and now am offically working nights.

I applied for the overnight position in the house and I got it.So Now I work 4 nights a week and get 3 nights off plus I get full benefits after 3 months and I get 3 weeks paid vacation right off the bat:)

Ive been in go go go mode for months it seems...Every space of my life is scheduled...it gets a little overwhelming at times.

We had a Wellness workshop at work and from there I found out that I have a few health issues. ..It appears that my whole body leans to the right - which explains the strain and pressure I have on my right foot that always hurt, my right knee and now my right thigh...From an accupressure reading I have uncovered that I have no energy flow through all my major organs - gull bladder, kidneys, liver and large intestine...

So I have started Accupuncter, as the treatemnts start working it will increase energy flow through my body adn remove blockages aiding in makin me feel better and have more energy.

I have yet to go to the doc abt my thyroid but think I will soon as I am always freezing cold. Typically on most given days I need to wear to fleecey coats to be warm.

So I guess that is it...I have lost a whole 2 lbs since joining Weight Watchers now I am in my 5th week...however Im really starting to ge the program downa dn learning what i need to tweak and such and how it trully works...

That is it for now I guess.
 
That's very interesting about the acupuncture. My H had that many years ago for tennis elbow. I hope it works for you--could help with weight loss as well. :)

That's great news about the job--especially the benefits and vacation time. America is terrible for employee vacation time. :ack2:

Is there anything you can do about your body leaning to the right?

I would definitely get your thyroid checked out asap.

I agree with all that Kimberly has said.

It is great that you have great new benefits in your new job. I am sure that you will find a way of coping with the hours - you have dealt with quite a lot of night shift work on an ad-hoc basis in the past. I know that you have mentioned that you get quite a lot of support from family and close friends that will help too.

I am pleased that you are looking into your health issues. They certainly need to be resolved before you can get things fully together.

It sounds like you are getting your head around the WW way of doing things. I will probably join them next week.
