Well I hit goal. I'm official done with the weightloss portion of my journey. I just wanted to say anything is possible if you work hard enough and sacrifice.

There is another thread talking about my GBS surgery on july 25th. I felt it was a must. I didn't trust myself to be so disicplined. It turns out I was wrong. Just 3 weeks post op I was doing 10-12miles a week and working out for several hours a day while still at a hefty 422lbs. Over the next months I conditioned my body and my mind to workout on the brink of sickness. I would do this for hours on end. I would count workout weeks ranging in calories burnt from 12,000-15,000 plus my normal metabolism and daily grind. I got to where I was simply burning 2-3 times the amount of calories per day I was taking in.

Add that to my vigerous eating schedule. Like clock workout from 7 to 7 everyday 6 meals a day ranging in calories and getting higher and higher as my workouts increased and my weight lowered. I trained my metabolism to absolutely destroy anything I ate. Once my weight really started dropping I would start to hit walls during workouts if I haden't eaten enough.

By the time I was 7-8 months post op I was eating 3000-3500 calories a day and burning 8. I could clear 50+ miles ran in a 7 day stint and I was hitting the weights like crazy. I became someone else entirely. I decided it was my mission to loose at a rate that had never been done before. Even in the GBS world my rate of continued loss was unheard of.

I got blood work done every 30 days and had full body analysis done every 60. I watched as my muscle mass index kept rising and my LBM #'s kept strong. While my water and fat weight were dropping like stones. Everyone and their brother was telling me what I wanted to do was impossible not only my rate of loss but, also not loosing muscle mass while dropping so much weight. They all said it was unhealthy and couldn't be done. Yet month after month my weight never slowed and my blood results were outstanding.

The moral of this rant is don't ever ever let anyone tell you something isint possible. Anything is possible if you are willing to sacrifice and do the work. Rain/shine/day/night/snow/ it didn't matter. I worked out like crazy and ate all the time. Its why my metabolism is that of a tri-athlete level now and why my body isint totally destoryed skin wise from lack of muscle tissue. I've never gotten sick and I feel like superman.

I still have some loose skin because I was literally such a huge fatass but, that will be taken care of with surgery. I took and getting a 6pack(thats my goal). I already have the upper abs but, unfortunately I can't get the lower ones until plastics are complete. My skin is just too loose down there. Everything else is fine. My chest/arms/back/legs/ect all are good and strong looking.

You will never hit a plateau in you're weight loss if you attack it like a animal. I averaged a 20+lbs a month weightloss for the entire duration of my program. You can do it! You can change you're life! Don't let anyone ever tell you any different. Towards the very end of my program I was running 60+ miles a week 3 days of weight training and 2 extra days of calstinicts. I was eating 5,000-6000cals a day. If I didn't I simply couldn't workout at the rate I wanted too.

Wellmy friend, i just got to thank you, you just gave me the extra motivation i needed to step it up a notch... i too work out 5 or 6 times a week like crazy, like an animal like you say.... but i just eat 2 times a day maybe 3 and i know thats not the way to get it done, its just so hard for me to do a strict diet, i burn like 1000 cal a day between the cardio, the weights and the 750 crunches a day.. maybe a little more, all i know is that i work out at a very high level, i normally end up bathe in sweat each time so i know im doing god in that cat, but for some reason the weight loss slowed down so bad the last few months, but i am buff and pretty ripped everywhere but my belly, and im still 265 so my muscle mass should be high... anyways, im just going to try to adapt a beter diet and well see how that works out, Thanks a lot brother and i know i speak for a lot of peeps here, you are an inspiration brother... good job and God Bless!!

Congrats! You look AMAZING. You are also an inspiration, you make me think that my goals are not ridiculous.

HI BiggiePR....you need to increase your food (fuel) intake, that's all. To keep your metabolism up you need to keep eating. It's like stoking a fire. If you don't keep fueling your body, it slows down and you burn less. Depending on the intensity of your workouts, 6-8 small meals a day!

Ironman? you are amazing. Kudos to you :jump: You are a big inspiration to all. And yes, I also believe that you can do anything.
So now that you have reached your goal, what is your plan to maintain?

Way to go!

Wow!!!

All I can say is that you have completed a journey that has required dedication, pain, and determination. Congrats! Enjoy your new body.
