Hi everyone.
I have posted about myself in the newbies forum but I've been reading and a lot of people suggest a diary is a good way to be accountable.
So, here goes:
I've lost 2.6kg (about 5.5 lbs) this week and I'm feeling really positive. For me a dress size down is about 12-14 lbs or a stone. I know there will be no appreciable difference in how I look to other people until I'm about 20lbs down because I hide it well and I put it on so quickly (75lbs in 18 mos)!!!
I have promised myself not to dwell on the why's and wherefores of such a massive weight gain in such a short time because it will only make me feel worse about myself and that won't help.
I suffer from depression and take medication which makes me very lethargic during the day so another goal is to cut down on the meds gradually ( of course with the doctors advice )
I'm a pretty pessimistic person by nature but I'm really going to try to project positivity and see if it makes a difference.
Re fitness. I have a hate- hate relationship with exercise so I'm going to try to learn to like it by starting gradually and building up to going to agym. I live in a small city and know a lot of people and I won't feel comfortable going to a gym for some time. As my weight loss was so rapid and the amount so large a lot of people (ESP at work) I know comment and look at me but I can work out at home until I feel more comfortable going public.
This will mean 15 min of cardio on the bike and
Some 8 min workouts (YouTube) for abs legs bums and arms.
So that's my entry for today and I hope you all have a fit and healthy week!! Think positive thoughts.
It occurred to me that when I go down a dress size my username of 20to10 might not be accurate but it'll remind me of how far I've come and how I have no wish to go back there!!
I'd also like to do some measurements. I'll add photos when I get on the Pc as you can't upload photos on the iPhone!!
