Hello and happy new year!

Blogging about my journey to a better me! I'm determined to finally reach my goal of 130-135lbs and I will use this for extra motivation as a way to stay accountable. I'll try to check in daily.

Goals:
CW: 155 on Jan 4th.
GW1: 145 on Feb 8th.
GW2: 135 by March 14th.
UGW: 130 by April 1st.

:eh:

Today was a pretty amazing day one. Had a nice salad for lunch, lots of water during the day and healthy snacks. Went to the gym and did an hour of cardio because i NEED to lose the flab i gained over Christmas, I still feel so uncomfortable and bloated. ugh

Thanks MrVee!

153 this morning. Moving in the right direction and getting back on track. Still feel really bloated from the holiday season. Currently sipping on green tea to help my digestion. Planning to go to the gym with my friend every day this week! #ambition

Got my period today... guess that explains why I've been bloated and irritable the last few days. Just finished an amazingg workout! a hour of straight cardio. Bought a cute Lululemon sweater for the gym, and my thin tea came today! FINALLY!! T'was a good day. Tomorrow I start 28 day program - I'm sooo excited! Also going to cut out fast food (Mcdonalds, tim hortons, wendy's etc) starting tomorrow.

Bed time xo

The morning tea has a decent taste, I read that the night time one is more yummy. I definitely feel like I`m back on track but I know this is the hardest phase of weight loss. I`ve been at this point more times than I care to admit. After eating really badly, I make the mental change to try and lose weight again but it`s equally as easy for me to grab something unhealthy as it is to get something healthy. My body is indifferent and that`s the stage I`m at now. I don`t have a ton of weight to lose, just about 20 pounds or so. I`m committed to the gym 100%. I`m committed to cutting fast food and drinking this tea 100%. I`m expecting some big changes over the next couple of weeks especially as I lose the initial waste and water weight.

I know exactly how to lose weight and what works for my body. It`s not hard but the first few transition days are hardest then it gets a lot easier.

Hi allicat & welcome to the forum. Cutting out fast food will probably do the trick & it sounds like you've got this covered. I love peppermint tea & drink lots of water. Cheers, Cate.

3lbs done & dusted already allicat! Well done. Go you! :)

THANK YOU!!

4 pounds down already since starting this journal. 151.6 today. Drinking tea, running, and portion control. The past few days were the HARDEST because I was feeling constipated but now I feel great and ready to tackle the remaining 21 pounds

Thanks Butterfly!

My current weight is 150.0 -- amazing!! My first five pounds was definitely a result of me kicking it into high gear. What's been working for me:
  • Cardio (running, elliptical... I always wear my Polar FT7 heart rate monitor and watch.. I've had this thing for years and wouldn't imagine working out without it because its SO encouraging seeing the numbers like calories burned and heart rate)
  • Thin Tea: this is one of those gimmicky teas all over social media. It does NOT contain any laxatives which is why I chose this brand of detox tea. The tea itself probably doesn't do much but the placebo effect is enough for me to justify buying this tea. It's a reminder, morning and night, that I'm on a roll and don't mess this up.
  • Not eating as much. Literally. I still eat whatever I was eating before, I haven't done ANY groceries since starting this journal. I'm literally just eating the same things but in smaller, more appropriate portions for my hunger status
  • But not starving myself. Since I've been running, I avoid setting myself up for failure by eating a lot of healthy food during the day, so at night I'm not ravenous)

My plan for the next 5 pounds is to really stick to what I've been doing until it doesn't work anymore. Lol!

Thanks so much! I love catwoman's physique, and it goes with my username too
I slipped up and had Chinese food for dinner last night.. bad me. but back on track today with a healthy breakfast: natural peanut butter on bran toast, Morning detox tea, and a banana. Getting ready to head to the gym for cardio. xx

Today ran a 5K in 36 minutes... not bad but not what I used to be. I'm training for a 10K race that is happening in exactly four months! My goal is to complete the race in under an hour. Did some groceries and meal prepped my smoothies. Ready for another week of amazing losses! I will be in the 140's this week. Mark my words!

Thin tea is my daily ritual now. I look forward to drinking the tea especially the night time one. My digestion is more regular, not sure if it's because of the tea or running or both.

Night xo

Thanks so much cate!
Been drinking this thin tea religiously day and night, I must say the tea coupled with the new year motivation has definitely been working. I'm very close to being in the 140's. I hope I can be there by the weekend.

Thank you MrVee!
I ran 5K yesterday and had my tea day & night. I'm on a roll again this week. I realized it's not really about the day in and day out efforts, but the average of the week.

Today's breakfast was oatmeal with almond milk and brown sugar. Lunch will be a cobb salad, can't wait! <3

Yes, another runner! The 10k is my favorite distance, it's attainable yet still a challenge. Keep it up, looking forward to hearing more from you!
