2016 | My Weight Loss Journey

Just browsed thru your diary...congrats on the 140's! Stick with it...you're inspiring the rest of us!

Thanks cate. I did TWO rounds of Couch to 10K program last night. I was crying with sweat and my body was absolutely drenched. I felt amazing though! Going to do it again on Friday and Sunday. I need to workout at least 3 days a week otherwise I lose my progress.

Today there was a free breakfast at work with muffins, danishes, cinnamon rolls, and other pastries. there was also a ton of fruit! So I loaded my plate with a lot of fruit, and drinking black coffee was well. Will break IF at 11am with those fruits, not hungry at all right now. I didn't feel like I was fighting temptation or anything. the choice was easy, I just didn't want to feel sick from stuffing my face.

Tonight I'm going to a restaurant with my coworkers. Middle eastern food. Gonna stick to chicken or salmon with a side of rice. Gluten free for the win :)

Yesterday I completed week 4 of the courch to 5k program. My cardiovascular capacity has definitely improved a lot, but still a long way to go! Starting week 5 of the program tomorrow. It looks like 5 mins running, 3 mins walking and repeat til 30mins is up. Sounds easier than it is!

Today was a perfect example of turning my trials into triumphs. I had every reason to fail today (free pastries, hello!) but instead I chose fruits and turned it into a cleanse. Working out helps a lot, it keeps you focused because every bad eating choice you make, makes you feel like crap while in the gym. You wish you ate healthy because it helps you perform better. I took off last week at the gym because I had a lot going on but now im back - I refuse to miss more than 2 consecutive days in a row!!

Your motivation is really inspiring me. I also try to stay on track in order to lose some pounds but while i am motivated during the day after the evening i think i lose a lot of my motivation so i don't have a permanent result.

Saturday I made the cabbage soup! I used a whole head of napa cabbage (which is lighter in smell & taste than regular green cabbage), green bell pepper, sweet onion, celery, stewed tomatoes, carrots, low sodium chicken broth, seasoning, green onion. It came out sooo good! Very tasty and filling, I brought some to have for lunch today. 150 on the dot today, although I did make it to the 140's again on the weekend. I feel like I'm at the apex, each side of this drastically different. At 151 I feel bloated. At 149 I feel hopeful. at 150 I'm in limbo.

Yesterday finished round 2 of Week 5 couch to 10K program. Woo hoo! It was hard but I made it. I find that eating very little before the gym helps (if I eat too much then I get really bad cramps! Energy is being used to digest my food when really all the energy I have should be directed to complete the workout). Also I stopped eating past like 7 yesterday (don't remember the exact time) but I woke up feeling great, I slept better. I really need to stop eating after 7 more regularly.

148.8 Today!!! Quite a big drop from yesterday's weight of 150.8

:party::hurray:
Current weight is 147.4! I've finally made it well into the 140s. I had a massive burger and onion rings last night and still lost weight. Its not what you eat, it's how much you do. I was able to fit that treat into my macros, it was so worth it

I can't get too excited though, still need to continue, a few more pounds to go. I would like to be 139 by April 13th. That's 3 weeks to lose 7 pounds, or about 2.5 pounds a week. Definitely ambitious but realistic!

It was a good weekend but I'm so glad it's done. Back to reality and routine. Eating was okay - really good the first couple days but then Sunday & Monday I ate way too much. But it's okay, I'm back on track! Currently drinking black coffee. I have the support of my friend to eat healthy this week, we're in this together :) I'm going to make cabbage soup tonight for dinner. Last week I noticed a huge difference by incorporating the soup into my daily diet. Not only is it delicious, it's cheap and full of fiber. I can't wait to make it. And I can't wait to reach my goals. Summer is coming!

Literally just got my period. Okay that explains why I've been extremely bloated and craven the last two days LOL! I was also really emotional yesterday! Well now that I know why i feel this way, I can be aware of these feelings and know that they are passing soon so don't give in.

Currently having a cobb salad for lunch. I tried on a couple of dresses and size 8 can zip up but it's extremely tight, which tells me my weight has gone up more than I expected...

Plan for lunch is a cobb salad, and snack is a crunchy oats and honey granola bar! Currently sipping on some black coffee... dinner is to be determined. Drinking lots of water... trying to get in at least 3 bottles at work.
