So....

I'm 18 and have been going strong for about 7 months....WOOOOO!!!

I started at 230lbs (I'm 6'2"), which I was horribly upset with. So I decided to do something about myself.

Lots of hard work later I'm now down to 190..... ;)

I'm happy with my progress and should be happy after a few more pounds.

I'd love to get in on this little group, as I seem to do well when I have others to hash out issues with.

Hey there! I'm 15, 16 on May 29. I weigh in at 155 and hope to get down to 120 by the summer solstice! It's going to be tough but I will do it! I must be in shape for summer..! Plus my family reunion that will be happening next year or so and that is a a BIG motivation.. I hardly left the camper because I felt so so fat and disgusting two years ago at the last reunion.. I missed so much, I wont let that happen again.

Lzycat, we weigh the sam, and are pretty close in ag (turning 17 in september). I was wondering how tall you were, I'm 5'2 1/2. haha

Ive started my plan now for about 2 weeks, and have given up alot of shit food, smoking and drinking..

Any suggestions from you guys?
 
Giving up smoking and drinking and the crap food is a great start! Do you like challenges? I'd suggest heading over to the Club Challenges area, and joining a challenge, they help me get motivated.

Hey just wondering have any of you guys used online calculators to figure how many calories you need daily, and if so, have you had any problems since it varies with teens? I got 3 different numbers because only some websites take teen years into account!
 
So....

It's been getting harder and harder to lose weight as I go down, which is logical, but now I have been trying to eat better. Cutting out the ding dongs and whatnot, lol.

Well...I did bad today. :( I had about 5 pizza sticks......*hangs head*

I knew I shouldn't have done it, and I kept telling myself that the whole time. But oh well.

I just hate this guilty feeling.
 
Oh my...I'm feeling much better today.

I finally went to get some clothes that fit me. :) Got mucho grande jeans and some nice shirts and shorts.

I'm an easy fit for 32 now......WOOT! And my shirts are medium. Who would have thought medium.

Anyways. I hope all of you are doing well as well.

Ah, our goals are almost the same! I'm trying to lose 40 lb, but am giving myself until September 23. *birthday* (if not sooner!)
I hope we both reach our goals! :D

My list: ;D

- Consume between 1,300-1600 calories a day

- Enter EVEYTHING I consume on Spark People, and try to stay within the recomended range for fats, *protein*, carbs, and fiber. This means that if I eat a cookie, I don't feel horrible as long as I manage to stay withing my ranges...

- Eat meals at the table, not at the counter, or in the living room. I drink water throught my meals, and before them..

- For exercise, I don't have a routine. I do, however make myself get up almost every day, and go for atleast a 10 minute walk, preferably an hour or longer.

- I use to do a series of straight leg arm bends, crunches, arm curls, squats and other stregthening exercises at night, but have fallen out of the habit. I need to get back into it, because I DID see and feel results with doing all of those things. I know you can't spot tone/reduce, but after doing so many crunches (even a small number like 15), I feel thiner, and that alone helps with motivation.

I need a routine, so I too, would like to know what everyone else is doing. :)

Hey guys! Just thought I'd come on here to update a little bit. :)

So, last time I weighed myself (last saturday) I lost 2 pounds. So that's tremendous. And I'm happy to report that eating the right foods is getting much easier. They make you feel better. :)

And, I've been getting sooo much more exercise. Now that I have Bubba, I can go riding any day except Wednesday and Friday (if my mom will take me. hah.)! And I have my riding lessons on Tuesday and Saturday. I love it. Yesterday was such a workout. My legs are getting so much stronger. It's great. And I got to canter on Bubba. I lurve his canter, even if he does look like a total dork when he does. xD

And and and, in order to strenghten my calves for riding, I try to ride my bike everyday that I don't go riding. Eee, I'm quite excited. And of course, I play with Sargie boy and run around up there with the dogs almost everyday. I found on the hill a WONDERFUL place to hike. It's great. It's all up hill so I'm assuming that helps the calves. :)

Today I had a bisquit for breakfast. Bad me. But my mom always buys them for us on monday and wednesday. x.x And then for lunch I had apple sauce (I had this major craving for it. hah.). And we got some tea from McDonalds. That's all so far. I think I'll have a turkey wrap for dinner. It's looking mighty scrumptious just sitting in the fridge. bahahaha.

Hrrm. List!

-I don't have a certain diet but I try to eat around 400 calories per meal. It usually isn't right on that though. It depends.

- Exercise- HORSEBACK RIDING. hah. And biking. And walking the dog. And hiking.

- And I drink all water (unless we go out to eat, which is hardly ever.)

- And basically the horses are my biggest modivation. Since I ride more frequently it makes me want to be more in shape so I can get better.

- I stay busy throughout the day so that I don't even think about food. Horses are good distractions. haha. :3

Hi everyone, I just joined today so I'm brand new to all this. I'm 19 and currently weight about 163 (my roommate broke her scale so that might be off!), I'm going to school in Hawaii for the fall semester so I'd like to lose weight before that and my goal is to be 150 before I leave in August.
I used to be so active but have fallen out of it and I just really need the motivation and inspiration that I hope you guys will be able to provide me with!
