20 lbs before the wedding or bust...

Hey! I was checking out your pics on facebook! You and your fiance make a cute couple! You look about the same size as me - so we can definitely kick eachothers butts if we slack off :D

pardon my french... but i have got to get my a s s in gear!!!

I'm doing horrible with food choices, haven't exercised in almost two weeks, and i'm back where i started weight wise again. And the wedding is in a month and a half!

In six weeks, if I could lose even just a pound a week, I would feel SO much better about myself.

SO - starting this morning, new plan.

1) 4-5 meals a day, 300 calories a piece... leftover calories can be used for dinner - b/c it tends to be our biggest meal of the day. Dessert days only three times a week (fifth meal those days)

2) exercise!!!!

3) drinking more water

today:
bkfst: no-fat yogurt and granola (265, 50)
kid's snack time - not planned: fruit bar (70,15)
packed lunch: triscuits (120,40) + tuna salad (90,7) + cheese stick (80,50) + carrots (35,0) + sugar-free jello (10,0)
afternoon snack: ff fig newton (200,0) + 3 sweet tarts (25,0)
dinner: saffron rice and chicken breast (267, 55) + green beans (50, 15)

total cals: 1212, 232

for dinner... we tend to use box or bag rice/pasta mixes... and so I used just one chicken breast, cooked it up, and then cut it into pieces and mixed it in... so its way easy to count portion sizes... just add everything up, divide the pot in three, divide the total calories by 3 - voila!

yes - butt kickings are needed!

thought I should also post the update from the upper GI thing... it turns out i do have pretty serious acid reflux - so daily meds for me, and a change in diet... i'm giving up (or at least trying) coffee, trying to drink less, eat less spicy/greasy food... you know - all those things that I love! grr... but if it means my evenings are more comfortable - so be it.

total cals: 1345, 392
h2o: 24 + 8
exercise: 30 min walk

Hey! Good start to getting back on track! I definitely need to get in gear with regards to food - for two reasons 1. health, 2. money! lol. I've been doing pretty good with the CURVES - I've been going 4 times a week, so that makes me feel good.
MUST FOCUS ON FOOD! ;)

dinner: spicy saffron rice and chicken (270, 60) + green beans (30,0) + corona (150,0)
dessert: lemon popsicle (50,0)

total cals: 1315, 210

exercise: 30 min walk + 10 minute walk

basically on my walks, i'm including any time also that I would have normally driven somewhere... i'm trying to walk around town more!
 
That's a good idea! I wish I lived close enough to anything to walk lol. If I walk for 30 minutes I hit a gas station and a Tim Hortons, that's about it ;) lol.

Sounds like youre doing good! Walking vs. driving is a great thing for you and for the environment!

I really need to buy some more fruit and some multi grain bread... i didn't last week b/c my honey and I are on a food budget right now - at least until he gets a job and we move into our cheaper apartment!
 
bleh - so right - everything posted above, plus two more beers and a whole bunch of popcorn... nic - I should have portioned off how much I was going to have!!!

I also have to figure out a way to make my honey realize that beers really do have calories. I think he thinks that beverages don't count... and somehow I give in - b/c its much funner to drink with a friend =)
 
Beer in the summer is KILLER! It gets me every time! lol. It's a nice good beverage on a sunny day! Maybe plan to include some beer in your daily calories?

I think having one would be fine, you are totally right. And it's not every day either - heck when its 95 on a Saturday - it just sounds perfect!
