Thanks everyone...it's nice to be loved :)

I've read about some people that have torn their ACL and can't walk at all...well, I can walk on it...I just can't bend it so much...so I'm taking that as a positive sign...woohoo!

I have previously injured my knee while running and had trouble bending it. Steps were a pain and I looked like a big dork trying to get down them hopping on the other leg and sticking my leg out straight in front of me :) Mine took 10-14 days of rest and then it felt better and I haven't had problems since. Hopefully yours isn't a major thing either!

Well...except for the excrutiating pop that I felt in my knee when my leg and upper body twisted (while my foot stayed in the same place)...I wouldn't have been too worried about it...but it's been a wee bit painful and and pain in the butt...it's an ordeal trying to get in and out of a car since i can barely bend the leg...Maybe I'll pick up some Kilkenny on the way home tonight then it'll be allllll gooooood....lol

A pop?!? That does sound VERY painful!! I think Kilkenny would be enough to fix anything although M2M might suggest Guinness as a better remedy? :D

when I injured my knee the first time - i skiied down a mountain - it was painful but do-able - when i tore the acl - i went down in a sled - i could put no pressure on it at all...

All right! It's settled then...it's not torn! Sweet.

Now where did I put my beer.....

A week and a half ago (while at my favourite local pub) the cute bartender gave me some Kilkenny glasses (I asked if I could buy some) and I haven't christened them yet...just water so far...I think tonight could be the night...

Mal...that reminds me of the last time I went skiing at a decent place...it was the last run of the day and I was going down the moguls...went up in the air, came down the wrong way...and ended up with a dislocated shoulder...about 14 years ago I think...now that sucked...at least I learned how to write with both hands...

Oh! Well then M...maybe I'll get some Guiness as well just for you...I'll get extra for when you two come over...what time should I expect you?

Me thinks you'd learn not to ski!

in my defence - i could ski before i could walk and have pretty much skied all over the us and canada.. :D and was pretty good - both times skiing when i got injured i was at a shithole ski resort in new jersey (yeah i know not exactly known for it's world class skiiing) but i was there because it was 2 hours from NYC and i needed a fix :D Time A was a skier who cut m e off -they were on a slope they had no business being on-and i pulled up really short and ping - went my knee - the second time - i never saw coming - i am told that this person came careening out of nowhere and hit me from the side and my knee went sideways (i do not recall the moment of the collision - i just remember extreme pain :D

I used to be able to ski - and miss it :D

as you were :D

Ohh, extra :D

Ummm...wait.
You mentioned it was COLD

I think the party should be here.
That way, Mal could get nekkid (she's streaking from the bus stop tonight as it is)
