120 pounds lost... should I lose more?

You can't help people do things they don't want to. Especially with addictions. Food is an addiction like any other. I have an alcoholic brother everyone has tried to help to no success.

Food, alcohol, drugs, whatever it is we often use it to fill whatever void we feel it fills in our life, and the only way to ever change it is to want to do it for yourself.

Ya, I had 2 aunts that had drug addictions. All i can do is keep trying to help as much as i can. It's just frusterating when someone asks you for your help and they dont take any of your advice and blow you off when it comes to working out.

They are probably expecting it to be easy because it looks easy, they see you at one size then see you at a smaller size in a short time and think oh, I'll just ask what they do and snap my fingers and voila I will lose weight too.

People in the office ask me all the time and then they simply don't do what it takes and then complain about it. But I used to be there too, wishing things would change instead of actually doing something about it. Or more importantly being unwilling to take ALL of the steps necessary.

For example people thinking they will just lift a weight or two or run for 15 minutes a day and they are going to drop 20 pounds a month and still pig out on baked goods 6 times a day. Or the dabblers which there are lots of, that buy a treadmill and get fired up and use it once a month, or buy mountain bikes they ride twice and shelve, then wallow in pity about how they can't do it.

Congrats that is an awesome job!!! :D Your a real inspiration to me!!!

You look great now, but if you want to lose more, it's your call :)

Just an FYI you are in the you tube video someone posted about on here you may want to flag it via you tube if you don't want your pic in it. It seems fairly harmless just a motivational compile someone did but not everyone wants their photos all over.

I think you are doing really well and if you want to lose some more just do it, the most important thing is how you feel. All the best.

You are at 2:24

She also has been on the forum's trying to defend herself in the You Tube thread made about it. She seems like an ass and is not sorry at all for ripping off peoples pics. So I would happily report her as much as possible :)

You look great. You lost a lot of weight fast and consistently. Good job. As far as losing more weight that is up to you. You look amazing right now as it is :cheers2:

Wow, your progress is phenomenal. I just joined this forum today, hoping I could get motivation, and coming across your posting is really inspiring. Do you mind if I ask your plan on how you did it all?

You look great already, but if you want to lose more weight, go for it! Just don't overdo it, I don't think you need to lose much more. Great work!

Hi,

I've lost 120 lbs now (111 lbs between the pictures) and my friends and family are encouraging me to stop. They are convience that I am getting to skinny, which according to my bmi I am not. I'm 5'6 and 1/2 (169 cm) tall and currently weigh 176 pounds. My goal weight is 130 pounds.

What is your opinion? Should I continue on?

Laura

Often times friends and family are the greatest saboteurs. They love you for who you are but will never be honest with you. You're very pretty now but your goal is realistic.

YOU do look amazing! For overall lifetime health you should healthfully and slowly whittle off more weight until you are within normal BMI....that said you have done a FANTASTIC job and maintaining is a job in itself! You haven't lost anything and willhave gained some skills if you can simply maintain for awhile until you are ready to take the next step.

Congrats, you have already beaten all the odds and saved your own life!

You are truly an inspiration to me as I currently weigh 298 pounds :(....if it is possible...can you tell me what you did? I'd appreciate it by heart :) Congrats by the way!!

you look fab! you could stop losing weight but it depends what YOU want. my parents and family are always going on at me about my weight and stuff and now i'm a diet they keep trying to tempt me wtf haha. so yeah my advice would be don't listen to your fam :)
