It is already mentioned, but I think Tilapia is the most economical frozen fish if you have to buy it. I live midland 8000+ ft. up in the Rockies, so fresh fish at the store is nonexistant here. I miss the fish & seafood from WA where I was born....I loved Pike Place Market & picking out whatever I wanted for such low prices (usually). I can't believe the cost of frozen fish in the supermarket here! It is outrageous.
I also enjoy Walleye when hubby fishes for it, but for me, I prefer the fresh trout hubby gets in the river a few blocks away because it tastes the best of anything!! (Still alive in the sink even)
The fresher you can get it the better, as far as tasty...
I have many varieties of fresh caught fish, and by far the best (to me) are:
1. Salmon
2. Trout
3. Crappie
4. Halibut
Fresh fish ROCKS!
Kraken: Walleye Suck.

Chillen
