Performance -Not Enough!

Thanks for the encouragement... the deadlift is a hard thing. My goal wasn't high enough, but i am new to weight stuff like this.

I edited too... if you can erase being a goof ball, I can erase calling you one--- LOL!!! or did I? hehehehehe

sorry about the disappointment. There are events all over the country. Just find one. I understand the M-dot thing but I say just do the distance, THEN care about the status of the event. The whole point is to challenge yourself past your own percieved limits and live on the edge. Do it for that reason alone.

Hey Flyin, keep trying the I'm! You'll get in! Great work recently.

Several of the guys and ladies that I ran with today have Nonember 18 circled on their calendars. I think we are gonna see some topflight cyclists there and it will be enlightening to see how we stack up individually!

OK two day of rest and i am amazed at how my motor is running.... let's get with it man.... Spin class with the Ironmen tonight, last one before they all go to Miami, then i will run 5 miles.

pushups, curls, and free body squats during the day at the office.

LET"s GET IT ON.. last few days of major effort before the
HORRIBLE HUNDRED and ewo mile bike race....

GR8 is going ot be all ove rme--- yeah baby!!! Let's get that bad boy DONE

Triathlon Spin class 1 hour 20 min.

tonight was great. i dropped the kids at the church for their fellowship stuff, and then ferfy, my youngest also had Christmas Play practice so i had plenty of time for a good workout.

Last spin class with the Ironman Eswardo prior to him "competing" in a HIM in Miami this weekend. Then we go into full Iron Training in 3 weeks.

of course durring the interum I have that century to do in the major hills of Clermont.

Here is a snap of me and Eswardo- my ironman mentor. I can rip him up, but he can wear me out--- believe that!
 
man it's nice to run in the colder weather.

long stretch period, then off I went.

ran my one mile out, and back for warm up... good sweat going thru sweatshirt in back of truck,
and off we go 3.5 miles to the middle school
timed 2, 1 mile, pace setters on the track (BORING!!!), 1 mi at 9:12, and 1 mi @ 8:47. Can't quite seem to nail that 9 min mile.
3.5 miles back to park
3 loops on nature trail = 1 mile

11.5 miles 1:55:02 = nice run, no pain anywhere. Getting lighter and stronger.

nutrition--- need to remember to drink more even when it is cool, lost over 4 lbs in from weigh out to weigh in. Had one power gel, and 36 oz of gatoraide.

ok. So Friday i rode mountain bie to work and back.

Friday
Ride: 25 + miles mountain bike.

Saturday:
Run 5 miles early morning
ride: 67 miles, some pumping, but mostly just fun-- 4:36 minutes

BUT-- here is the big news. Building the dream baby! Went to the World Championsips of Ironman 70.3. It was incredible. Absolutley incredible!!!! th athletes, the fans, the city, the way the environment reaches up inside of you and grips you by the spine! I would love to qualify for that race some day.

the course was lined with fans completely. I had to park over 10 miles away and rode my bike in. It was soooo cool. You should hear the huffin and puffin these athletes are doing. They sound more like horses than people.

the stretch! the noise here was over the top. Insane. I did a video but it sucked so i tossed it. This is the worlds best of the best that lead this thing. You can get in this race with a fast HIM time,,,, and to COME DOWM THIS STRETCH--- OH MY!! I am misty right now just telling you guys about it.

and her it is!! The final time strip!!! FINISH LINE!!!

Live all you can!! It is a mistake not to.

I am sooo excited about doing the one at Disney in May. I hope to do well. Wouldn't it be something if I could qualify for that champs race.

anyhow the important or ultimate is the 140.6. I am trying to get a supporter for my registration at Vineman. I do not have the money with starting my new job and all. BUT--- I will be soming there and chasing you around that course..hahahah you'll probably win your HIM!

Iron cross tension holds-- up to 50 lbs on each side, holding them for approx 30 sec.

Swam: 1500

incorporated LOTS of pullups-- a whole 65, + 5 from Friday-- i got 70 and it was hard.

I enjoyed lifting heavier today. i like it when my muscles swell up. Went and got nutritional needs for century "the Horrible Hundred" next sunday. Keeping htings failry cool and light for the week ;) we'll see.. That is a tough ride. BUT only the second leg of my current fitness goal.

It was slow. hahahaha actually not all bad. I was paing attention to my rotator cuffs and they held nice. i am my stroke much smoother now, and I don't reach down into the water as far. i am gettting smooother.

Ride : 6 miles mountain bike
Swim:
2 x 100 RPE 7-8
1500 continuous
2 x 50 pull
2 x 50 kick
500 X 3 free
Ride : 6 miles home


strong in the pool tonight. New chick showed up with back injury, great physique but very weak swimmer. It felt good to give some pointers, gave her a pair of goggles.

light easy week. Made a few calls on this Horrible Hundred" Bike Century race, an it is gunna be tough. Rich and I agreed we will ride 95 miles and then race the last 10. shshhhhh I'm gunna smoke is azzz! hehhhee
 
wow, I bet that 1500 was pretty boring. I hate long continuous swims in the pool like that.
 
took 1/2 day, feelin sick.

Swim: lots of sprints and I discovered something... I can swim myself into a very high heart rate, want to panic and stop, yet keep going at a slower pace and make it thru. I sucked in some water a couple of times, and yes it felt like I could of got in trouble in open water, but it was cool to push my limits back further into the extremem zone.

Stopped and set a new max on Dead lift of 315. here is the pic. not suree what i am supposed to do with the info, because the thread is locked, but i do have a light bulb.

Off to my 15 year olds Symphony Orchestra concert and then I will run tonight- maybe.
 
great workout tonight-

Run: 5.7 to gym
steam room stretch and planks (lots)
midsection and lower back (isolation machines) weighted workout
steam room stretch
Run: 5.7 back home ( actually felt if i'd of pushed a lil harder i could have gotten into stride zone and really logged a few fast miles)

nutritionally had some great obstacles and overcame them today. I also notice that without sugar I have a lil anoyance inside of me that seems to be a MAJOR GAUL DARN SWEET TOOTH SCREEMING BLOOD&Y MURDER_ FEED ME!!
