OK, I Decided I'm Going To Cut

198.8 for this morning's weigh-in. Right on track!

I'm pretty excited. I just got a squat rack off Craig's List so I can have a more complete home routine.

Have you ever bought equipment from there? It's awesome because so many people buy workout equipment and never use it. They get so tired of it being in their way, they'll sell it for a song.

I already had a flat bench (no uprights), dumbell handles, EZ bar and about 300 lbs of standard plates....also I have my elliptical: Schwinn 418

In the past couple months I got a bench that appears to have never been used (the paint inside the uprights wasn't even scuffed), 150 lbs additional weight, a barbell, and a squat rack (certainly not gym quality and a little worn but is definitely functional) all for a measly $55. I paid almost as much for a rafter mounted pull up bar with shipping which I can't wait to arrive. So the moral is: before you buy new, lurk Craig's List for a while!!

I'm a stay-at-home dad and a homebody so working out at home makes a lot of sense for me. I love it.

Well, since fall weather is on the way I pulled out my size 38 jeans I haven't worn since last spring...Obviously I had to go to the store and buy some new ones LOL Size 34 now. bye bye "big boy" jeans

What I'm really happy about is I still wear the same size shirt and the t-shirts that were snug in the sleeves then are still snug in the sleeves. So I've lost very little, if any muscle.

Congrats on shedding two pant sizes! I am also down to a 34 from an all-time high of 36 a year ago. I would guess your ideal pant size would be a 33, possibly a 32, which is my goal.

Looking good!

Thanks, I'm still workin' on it

The thing that's frustrating is it's hard to get a reliable body fat reading. I don't believe the body comp scale, I guess I believe the calipers, and the Navy bodyfat method isn't great for me because as I've lost fat around my waist I've also lost it from my neck so the % doesn't change LOL (yeah, I'm one of those guys who gets the big head and jowls if I gain too much weight)

Still Chippin' Away

I had to get past a mental block about being under 200 lbs. and now it looks like I'll end up under 190 before I reach my goal seeing as I'm 191 here (at least first thing in the morning I am). My abs are flexed in this pic. I want them to be visible without flexing. I think I may only have a few lbs to go, what do you think?

Hey, in your avatar you have a tribal arm band on your right arm, but in your current pic it's gone. Did you have it removed or did you have one of those temporary tats from a Carnival Cruise?

This pic is in the mirror, hence you see the camera in my hand, goofball:)

It's actually a Polynesian style tat with a tiki god and hibiscus flowers I got in Hawaii , not a tribal, you can't see much detail with my crappy camera though

LOL, my secret weapon is my wife. She's a good cook and knows what I can and will eat. She made turkey breast, wild rice "stuffing" (just wild rice with celery and onions) , homemade cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes. I really didn't miss out on anything

Abs looking any more defined?

The lighting in this pic isn't as flattering on my arms, but this is about the best my abs look

185, the last ones were at 189. The first pics in this thread were at about 210

I weigh myself in the morning, unclothed, before eating anything and after using the bathroom.....so add 5-7 lbs for my weight clothed with food in my system.

My plan for now is to bounce between around 185-195 in mini-bulks and cuts to gradually get leaner without dropping any more weight
