Lift, Train, Fitness

Interesting, we don't get a lot of news about your weather, some people think the US is the only place with hurricane and tornado problems. Sounds like yours are much the same. That is the one thing I do not miss moving from Florida to Utah, we have no hurricanes and almost no tornados here, just fires and earthquakes, LOL.

What is the probability of a category 4 or 5 cyclone where you are? Are you able to get windstorm insurance at reasonable rates? Wind and flood insurance on our Florida house became a huge problem, well over $10k/year and rising when we left.

The chances of a 4 or 5 here are very very slim, the big cyclones usually hit up in the far north. I am on a protected hill so flood insurance is not an issue and the rest of our insurances are fairly reasonable however there are a lot of places in town that are simply uninsurable at any price for flooding. Aus has very few earthquakes and certainly no big ones like other countries. Fire is the biggest risk for most in Aus, more so for the southern states like Victoria and Tasmania where Cate is.

great training session this afternoon, I have no reps left in me lol, I may struggle to lift my arms up to the steering wheel to drive later :D

I don't have any serious DOMS after yesterdays session, however I can feel my muscles holding fluid and are a bit puffy, it has not effected the scales as I have dropped 400 grams since yesterday bringing it to 5 kg down over the last couple of weeks, being less stressed has helped.

I won't know my final results for the semester till next month. It will leave my 2 more subject to finish the diploma next semester before going on to complete the degree.

5kg down over the last couple of weeks is excellent, Tru. I really must do something about dropping some weight.
I was wondering when you get your final results.

I feel I have been failing to put in adequate work on my lats lately, tomorrow is squat day but I think I need to put in some additional lat exercises using what I have until I get my cable system sorted so in addition to my bent over rows and TRX rows I will look at adding inverted rows (down unders) and some pull overs, my shoulders take pull ups and chin ups off the table as options and the banded exercises are just not providing enough resistance. It would be nice to get my shoulder health back to a point of being able to do relaxed dead hangs which transition to hanging with muscle contractions of the back without arm movement.

Knowing the correct thing to do does not always translate into action lol.

Normally this is a Uni day, but with it being all done with till next semester I get to hit the gym before it gets hot today. I do however have a little bit of 2nd day DOMS in my triceps and serratus. I will report in later as I am going to relax today.

The doorway on the right is where the ride on mower, freezers and assorted storage is, there is also a bathroom, kitchen and behind the closed door is a room full of books stored in plastic boxes. there is a 3 car carport through the glass door and around the corner is a larger farm machinery shed which is open to one side with workshop benches, etc where I have a heavy bag hanging from one of the beams. I need a new water tank to make the bathroom functional. There is also an empty shed next to the livestock yard. The house is a couple of minutes walk up the hill along with another shed and the peacock enclosure. Speaking of hill, I need to walk down to collect the bin from the side of the road lol.

Living in the middle of nowhere has its perks but the drawback is no mobile phone reception, slow patchy satellite internet and T.V only and the need to maintain a generator to cope with power outages which may last for days. We do have solar but have not got the ability to go completely off grid yet.

I could happily deal with all that - except the patchy internet connection. I don´t think I could do without for longer than a week or so at this point

feeling really cranky and out of sorts today, probably related to hormones related to my cycle, hubby just handed me a caffeinated drink and backed away lol

I need the stress relief of a training session in the morning when little miss is at child care.

hubby just handed
Sensible man :D
