Alligatorob's Diary

2oC & snow on the mountains? Brrrr! I hope it warms up soon for you, too. That's Tassie winter weather. Like right now. We have a great big frost this morning. Glad you're better, Rob.

It was a good day, I ate well, exercised and am feeling good tonight. I did a good session at the gym today, I know I need to get back to walking, but the weather remains bad. Perhaps tomorrow.
Looks like it didn't have much of a root ball left. Sadly apple trees aren't made for eternity. Have fun at the gym!
You know your trees, yes I was surprised at how little root mass the tree had. Lots of rot in it, I suppose most of the roots had decayed away. We still have one healthy apple, may plant a new one, not decided yet. I did have fun at the gym, thanks.
Well done on your good day! Think we're ready for a good summer after everything that has been going on.
Thanks DA, yes I am ready for summer but the past couple of days have not been summer!

So do I, just last week in was in the mid to upper 30s, but that is what spring weather looks like here. Today even more snow fell on the mountains, but it should warm tomorrow. At least we didn't get a frost, the tomatoes and vegetables on the garden look fine.

It was a good day, I ate well, exercised and other than being tired I feel pretty good tonight. I did a long session in the gym this morning, well over an hour, and this afternoon did a bunch of yard work. I am tired. Perhaps tomorrow I can find time to walk.
Nice to hear you're feeling better and you're back at it Rob :)
Thanks Liza.

Right now I go to the gym to fill in the gaps in my home workout repertoire so it´s just 10 minutes of biking and some shoulder work. It´s real good to be back though.

Down to 177? Well done, Rob. Don't be afraid to give yourself a "rest" day if you wake up tired. What does your family think about what you have achieved?

It was a good day, I ate well and feel good tonight. No formal exercise but I did several hours of yard work. Finally finished picking and cutting up the downed apple tree, that was more work than I anticipated. Now all of it is in my wood pile drying for next winter, I even cut up all the small branches, lots of kindling. And then I discover that some of the driveway overlying the water line we fixed had settled so I spent until almost dark fixing that. I am tired.
Sounds like you've got plenty of energy again--good to hear!
Some, plenty is a subjective term. Right now I am pretty tired.
Glad you are not overdoing it Rob , a workout and yard work is plenty . The walks fit them in when you can
Thanks for that Petal, your letter of penance for the walking is appreciated.
Great work, congratulations!
Thanks LaMa, it felt good. I am feeling like I'm slowly closing in on goal.

Thanks Cate, and today was kind of a day of rest, but the yardwork was exhausting. Maybe I still need one. Family reaction is mixed, more positive than anything but mixed is the best way to put it. I am however quite happy with it.

Thanks Cate, and today was kind of a day of rest, but the yardwork was exhausting.
The physical therapist says that if the day was physically exhausting then it wasn't a rest day, regardless of whether you exercised. So I agree you probably still need a rest day.

Thank you our physical therapist friend :)
A mixed reaction, while disappointing, is not surprising. The same happened with me.

Congratulations Rob . Super result .
mixed reactions for me too mostly good but a few sabotagers in the mix . Anyway your forum family are cheering you all the way

I agree with our resident physical therapist :) A rest day shouldn't be exhausting. Hope you get a proper rest day today.
. No formal exercise but I did several hours of yard work.
I find yard work can really pull me in and easily have me doing more than I expect or planned for! It's hard to stop mid-job when you want to just see this next part of the job done!

Great achievement on being at 177 Rob, I mean, come on! Would you have believed it yourself this time last year? Amazing fortitude and gumption to be found in this man! :D

Thing you might not like me saying: Don't let yourself get tired. The body needs energy. Keep eating enough fats, protein, carbs, everything you can to get that energy boost that I feel is a bit lacking from your posts in the last while? I'm just picking something up there. If you do yard work, you don't need the walk on top of it. Take care of yourself.

It was a good day, I ate well, exercised and feel pretty good tonight. The tired has diminished. I got in a good gym session today, 50 min with the trainer and then another 50 min on my own.

I did not rest today, but feel a lot less tired. I will probably rest, at least some tomorrow. Thanks LaMa.

Its funny how that works, don't know why, some people maybe jealous others not liking changes, who knows.
Thanks Petal, and you are right there seem to be some saboteurs but I am pretty good at ignoring them. Most people are either positive or silent. And I much appreciate the forum family, great support!

Yes, I agree one started its hard to stop, yard chores are never done.

That's an easy one Emily, no I would not have believed it, not even close. Sometimes I still don't think I believe it. Thanks for your support, you are a good one girl!
