Lift, Train, Fitness

Day 2 of the challenge, the tracking app is having problem but when it is back up I can record the 135 from yesterday and today's total tonight when I am done.

In 2018-2019, 17.1% of Australians received a prescription for a mental health medication. The vast majority of these (~80%) were for anti-depressants, which were used by around 3 million Australians. So what is an anti-depressant medication? The most common anti-depressants work by increasing the availability of neurotransmitters, which affect how our nerves communicate with each other in our brains and all over our bodies. Neurotransmitters affect many parts of our lives, from our mental health, to our guts, to how we feel pain. So, even though these medications are technically called anti-depressants, they have been used for a wide range of health conditions.

It seems I may need to get a scooter to keep up with little miss at the park, I am not a runner and I can no longer keep speed with her lol. 2 laps of the lake (2 km) feeding the ducks and kicking a ball around this morning before getting in the first 100 pushups for the day, 71 to go.

:D I´d be very surprised if she saw you zipping around on a scooter and didn´t decide she needed one as well.

She has a scooter, hence the difficulty keeping up with her lol

Now I understand! My youngest nephew had a... running bike (? the ones without pedals where you push yourself along with your feet) at that age and we had to tske turns running along because he just. wouldn't. tire. She's getting some good speed on that thing :)

I have seen bikes like that, they are sold as balance bikes here, when we got the scooter for her birthday last year the bike was the other option, it will probably be a bike this year, she certainly has the balance already and can ride the scooter both left and right footed to go along with her need for speed lol

An estimated 15.5%, of young LGBTIQA+ Australians have made a non-fatal suicide attempt at some point in their lives. Among trans people, that number rises to almost 50%. By this measure, the LGBTIQA+ population is the most over-represented group in the country. The driving factors behind these devastating rates of mental ill-health amongst LGBTIQA+ Australians are not well studied. However, we do know that LGBTIQA+ people continue to face high rates of discrimination and stigma from a young age. About 60% of LGBTIQA+ young people report experiencing verbal homophobic abuse, and about 80% of this abuse occurs at school. Living with discrimination and stigma has a substantial impact on levels of psychological distress and can make it harder to seek help when it’s needed.

the tracking app is still having problems but will post my progress once it is working and I can log my pushups.

today's task was to tidy the games shed and rearrange shelving and furniture ready to run D&D games at home again. here is a short video tour of my crafting area and games table.

Now it is time go and get some push-ups done.

Was that your breath, Tru? Sounds like me halfway up the hill coming home after a big walk. I'm sure we have both learned to live with Asthma, but I am amazed at how fit you are. I think you have already had a huge workout with the clean & then you go do a gazillion pushups!
It's a very impressive workshop/craft area. G is very creative, as are you obviously.

The microphone on my phone seems to be very sensitive lol

the biggest struggle with a large crafting area is keeping it all tidy whilst still being able to find everything lol. part of the clean up was making sure most of the non child safe stuff was in containers or up high like the spray paint. The little air conditioner make a bit of noise but works well keeping the temp reasonable. Slowly adding insulation panels so it is more efficient to cool and heat, the other room of the shed was fitted out as a bedroom (currently a junk room) and is already insulated. Just outside the shed door is an area hubby paved last year for a BBQ area.

Little miss loves art and craft so she can have access to some of the stuff under supervision, like when she was making pictures with glue and coloured sand, which is something she cannot do in the house as she had sand everywhere.:leaving: next art project will be some pet rocks she can paint and stick googly eyes on.

It is also amazing what you pull out of boxes when you do a cleanup, found son 1s cricked gear from when he was about 10, all the pads and bat were still in good condition so little miss can use them when she get older. Also found son 2s rubber cosplay scimitars. Sword fights in the middle of cleanup should be expected :willy_nilly:

Hubby has asked If I can paint the green door, currently deciding between painting a dragon or a demon head (from the tomb of horrors D&D module), I am going to need more paint lol

This is the demon head I am going to paint on the internal shed door :)

however, it will have to wait till my hand heals a bit, I just sliced a couple of fingers open on a plate I just broke while preparing lunch. Which was a bunless burger on a plate for me and normal burgers for everybody else.

time to go change the dressing on my hand as the blood is starting to seep through.

Ouch! I hope it's stopped bleeding by now and you won't need stitches. I assume you're elevating it?
And I'm secretly hoping the demon will have a black mirror in its mouth :)

not much happening this week, pushups as usual, uni as usual (finished psychology assignment) spent some time in the gym, and some relaxation time building models with little miss

Sounds like a good time to me :)
