Oh wow, well done! Losing weight coming up to Christmas?!
 
Thanks Rob and LaMa . This week I don’t expect too much have social stuff tomorrow , sat and Sunday . Will try to be as good as I can and yet have a little bit of what I fancy .
 
32 lbs lost is excellent, Petal. You are so determined, but without being totally obsessive. Balance is a wonderful thing xoxo
 
Wow - great that you've set a new target! And impressive that you're thinking that way now, before Christmas and New Year - you are a strong, determined woman, and I'm glad I know you! :)
Not so great about losing sleep - yes, I think walks, if the weather will allow, would be a good strategy. I hope you're well asleep right now.
 
I will check out other diaries tomorrow hopefully. This morning I had a really rough morning in work. I took some things personally although it's not a reflection on me at all but on the management. I have decided to rise above it for now and park it . Think it's in the air here reading Ems diary.
Good news is I ate pretty well today and did have one amazing mince pie .

That's good, and more important than office politics.

One of my first bosses, a really good guy told me one of the most important things to develop in business is a hard shell, the ability to let the bad stuff roll off your back. It was great advice, not always easy to follow, but I have tried and still remember him 40+ years later for it.

Sorry to hear that Petal. My mum was saying it's the end of the year, people are exhausted, and probably a bit sick of each other, so maybe it's normal to have a bit of tension in the workplace this time of year. I'm on day 1 of my holidays and I feel so much better about it already. You will too.
 
Ah I am finished work and I went out with a few colleagues for lunch . I had a tasty chicken dish with veg and potato and a cappuccino for after . Ignored the dessert . Time enough for that soon .
 
Question for probably Lama or Cate ax you have both lost significant weight. My toes are so sore when I wear my boots now . They are wide fitting boots , solid heel not that high but it’s what I wear to work or going out maybe . I think I showed you pic before . The under part of my toes hurt so much now when walking in them . I can’t always wear trainers . I had a thought could the be too big now and I’m slipping down in them . I want to wear them to city for concert tomorrow night . I’m thinking I may wear trainers and bring boots in a bag . Also insoles maybe ?
 
I lost a lot of fat from my feet when I lost the 36 kg, Petal & did buy innersoles for my shoes. Get some good ones, that will also offer extra support. I have Ziera brand ones. I think I went down a good half size in shoes.
 
Thanks Cate . I will have a look tomorrow in the pharmacy . Right now I dread walking anywhere . Find at home I’m happiest in good thick wool socks
 
Agreed about decent insoles. Your skin may need time to adapt but your feet getting slimmer is more likely to be the problem. Insoles can fill the void.
 
Oh, that's unhappy, about your sore feet. I never would have thought of that as a consequence of losing weight. :( Hugs, and I really hope the thick wool socks, and eventual insoles, and most of all, rest, bring relief.

I can tell you my shoes are fitting more loosely, if I keep losing weight I may have to get new, smaller shoes. For now I am just wearing thicker and more socks to ward on the cold, helps with the fit too. My feet probably hurt a bit less than they did, lightening the load seems to be winning out over lost padding.

Get some good insoles, protect your feet, you will be needing them a good while longer.

Such lovely people . Feet feel improved this morning but I’m not too excited about city later . I am going to bring my trainers and boots . A pain to carry but never mind. And I will get insoles also.
Rob my ankle pains that I had every morning have disappeared with the weight loss so that’s a huge result and I will obviously need to look at different shoe sizes / insoles going forward .
 
This is not my professional opinion but I kind of feel some of the cushioning in my feet has disappeared and now my muscles have to hold my arches more actively, which they´re not so used to doing.
 
I have been up to 190 lbs (I'm 168.5 right now) but I never realized foot size could be impacted by weight.
