I don't think it is, my guess the apparent weight gain is temporary, and mostly water. You would have to eat something like 7,000 calories above your plan to really gain 2 pounds. I don't think you did that.It's scary to think that a day or 2 off plan can be so bad

Can you try to do a fruit snack instead? I have always had trouble not eating in the evenings, so I just plan to eat a low cal snack. Pretzels are about the lowest calorie salty snack you can find, I buy them in 100 calorie packages, then feed a couple to the dogs so I get a ~90 cal snack. Not as good as fruit, but not bad. I have not had chocolate since going on the diet, but I think in small doses its probably fine.Yesterday a great day kept to plan until late last night . But I only had a couple of mint choc and a handful of pretzels.
