I have woken up feeling good & ready to face the day. I have been singing "Because I'm happy". That is a good start.
 
I love that beginning! I guess you're out on the links now - or else having afternoon tea after! Sending good vibes for it - and for assessing what's right for you in that context!
 
I enjoyed the day, thanks, Amy & LaMa. I am really exhausted tonight though. It has been 9 weeks since I played golf actually pushing a buggy around the 18 holes. It was cold & windy. I'm in my PJ's under a rug & G is out playing pool. I had a banana & a cup of home-made soup at golf & G had made a moussaka-type venison mince dish that we had for dinner. I probably will have a snack of some nuts soon. I feel like I need something salty.
G2 was very emotional today. I got lots of hugs & kisses from quite a few of the women & I feel that I will continue with them, but resist any pressure to do too much, especially the bar.
 
Hi Cate sorry it’s taking me forever to get around all the diaries . From what you say you will be ok to just play golf there but just keep away from committees and stuff . Hope it works out this time . Don’t overdo it and just enjoy the company and golf . X
 
Hi, Petal. It takes such a long time to get around the diaries, so please don't apologise. I'll be much more careful from now on & won't get so entangled. I'll take it week by week & if it stops being fun I'll stop.
 
I say don't do anything other than play and eat lunch. Not even the tiniest bit of a little nothing. But I'm very glad you had fun :grouphug:
 
I like San Francisco, but Tahiti would be my choice hands down! Should we start making reservations?

LaMa the earth's center would be the democratic choice, but its kind of hot and the view is probably limited. However if you can arrange transport I'd be there!
 
Lol me too interestingly I wonder if we looked at a globe where would be the optimal place with minimum travel for everyone to meet if we all had to travel ( excluding earths centre of course )

I might start a thread for fun on where we could meet up. I have met 3 women from the forum & each time it was wonderful. They are not in here any more but I keep in touch with 2 of them. One detoured to my home on a holiday from Western Australia to Sydney, one I met up with in Melbourne & the 3rd I met up with in Athens this year. Australia is such a long way away from anywhere else.
I am feeling quite a bit better after being back home for a few days. I am getting out into the garden today to mulch. I will make sure I make lots of noise to frighten off any snakes.
We had some fencing done yesterday & it looks really good. We now have a proper top paddock. The fencer is G1's son & I got him to check out building another small yard the other side of our veggie garden, suitable for a dog's yard. I have been getting very "clucky" around dogs the last few months & think I may get another dog after we get back from our next holiday in March. I have been missing our little silky terrier. I have always had a dog. I want to be very careful of the dog we get though which can be tricky with pound dogs. I need to have a dog that doesn't shed because of my allergies.
I might just go start that new thread. I think it will be off topic.....
