Lift, Train, Fitness

It is awesome and inspiring for you to be going to school at a more "mature" age! When I was in school I did find that age diversity brought more different perspectives to course work and discussion and helped me to see my own views in a different light. Hope you are feeling better soon!

games night tonight, I have some fish in the oven for a late lunch so I am less tempted to eat junk while we play.

Spent some time in the gym this morning, after spending time with bands and a week without taking any pain relief it was time to lift again.

Bench Press after warmup

5 X 6 @ 62.5 kg (137.7 lb)

Wide grip seated row

4 X 8 @ 75 kg (165.3 lb)

Plus a series of rehab type exercises for the Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus and Teres Minor.

Some residual soreness in Supraspinatus, but that is to be expected as that is where my calcification is.

Food so far today is fresh soup from the crock pot that cooked overnight.

I will probably go over my carb limit today, Going to have a custard apple later, It won't be enough to put me out of ketosis but my total carbs will be higher than usual.

Custard Apples are hypolipidemic and rat studies have shown a benefit for loosing fat (exhibited a potent inhibitory effect on adipogenesis) Food Sci. Technol. Res., 15 (5), 553 – 556, 2009

Cool! I LOVE that you put the citations in. I don't think I've ever had a custard apple. I will have to look into it.

What kind of soup did you make?

Just lots of veg with some cheap cuts of chuck. Just finished putting 3 meals worth in the freezer. The rest my son will probably eat when he gets home from work.

Also time to get the camera out, 2 of my three male peafowl are displaying, including my white, looks like an early start to the breeding season.

I have some DOMS in the expected areas today, It feels good.

overcast again today a quite dark, If I get some good light I will take some photos of the boys shaking those feathers.

Now you'll have me singing "Come on, let me see you shake your tail feathers". I have so many songs in my head!
We have had 82.5 mls of rain in 4 days, but mostly sunny today :)

In a foul mood this afternoon, scam and telemarketing calls all day, including one that wanted to argue. I don't mind messing with them when I am in a better mood, but after the 15 th call today I was done with it all. This was topped off be the courier company that was supposed to be delivering one of my text books, claimed that they couldn't deliver because nobody was home, which was complete bollocks as I have been home all day today and if a strange vehicle drives near the house the peacocks are a great alarm system. had to do a 1 hour trip in the car to pick up. Will not order from that book seller again, Australia Post may not be great sometimes but at least you get your stuff delivered. When will businesses learn that cheap and nasty couriers will loose them business.

Eating has been ok but have asked hubby to bring tasty food on his way home after being in Brisbane for professional development for the last couple of days.

I had two couriers just ringing every bell in the compound yesterday, looking for whoever might be willing to accept a delivery. But at least they were there!

The white peacock is quite a stunning bird! (How was the tasty Brisbane food?)
