Yep. I honestly don’t think I’m ever going to wear a smaller pair though. I’ve got very big quads and calf muscles so the legs need to be big enough to accommodate

Very busy but yes very fun. We’re playing golf as a foursome today. One of the blokes that’s playing I haven’t seen for about 6 months so it’ll be good to catch up with him and he’s going to be shocked with the weight loss!
That sounds fantastic!!

And yes, measure the distance with the car! I hate not having accurate info!!

I'll be interested to hear about your foursome's partner's reaction to your weight-loss (& your game).

Well he was shocked and said I look good which is a lot from him. The game was underwhelming (I’m the only one who plays regularly so I won by 10 strokes - 9 holes).

Well no ride tonight. I was visiting my father (he’s I’ll at the moment and 2 hours away) until quite late. It’s now nearly midnight and I want to get up at 4:30 for a ride in the morning. Just going to do a few reps on the bench press and go to bed.

Short ride tonight. It was good to get out there actually. It feels like I’ve not been out in a while.

It’s a plasma donation day tomorrow so no ride tomorrow night so I HAVE TO go in the morning.

Well it was hard to get up after only a couple of hours sleep but a good ride this morning followed by a resistance training session.

Fingers crossed my blood pressure will reduce by the time I go into the Red Cross!

Just finished my plasma donation. My pressure was right up 147/something (can’t remember) but that’s a little to be expected today.

On my ride this morning I was navigating a roundabout when a van pulled out in front of me. It only just missed me by a few inches because I ditched my bike into the roundabout to avoid him. He certainly knew what he had done because I didn’t exactly go quietly but he made no attempt to stop or check on my welfare. Boy was I furious!

The van was a branded company van so I know where he works and when I got back home I shot them an email making my thoughts very very clear. Surprisingly I got a response pretty quickly; apologising for the “inconvenience” I wasn’t aware risking my life was only an inconvenience! Anyway I made my thoughts clear on that matter too.

I think I will go for a ride tonight. I feel much better than last time I donated plasma. I think I’ll be fine tonight.

You do tend to push yourself TM!
Glad you recognized you need rest!

And grrrrr.....that driver - good for you for emailing the company...inconvenience, my a.....
OK - hope you get some good rest :)

Just got back in from tonight’s ride. Changed my tyres around again and I think I’m finally happy with the combination.

At some point maybe next weekend I’ll upgrade the gearing on my bike so I’ll have an extra couple of gears to choose from and replace the chain so it’ll be smooth and easy to ride.

I’ve not been eating as well as usual the last week or so and I’ve consequently not been feeling as energetic as I’d like because I’ve run out of food at home and haven’t had time to go shopping but I stopped on my way home tonight and bought some supplies to keep me going so I should start to feel better now.

You definitely need to provide your very active body with the right nutrition. The biking gods have not been kind to you lately, but there's not much stopping you these days TM :)

Turn out in iron deficient now too so plenty of leafy greens for me this week. I’m vegetarian so it’s sometimes hard to ensure I’m eating properly.

Tonight’s ride was ... boring really. A headwind slowed me down a bit but no traffic issues, no punctures, no malfunctions at all. Just smooth and boring.

I’ve ordered new sti shifters so I can upgrade the gearset. They should arrive in a month or so. Until then just business as usual.

In other news today I was told one of the guys in the office who I haven’t seen very much of the last few months asked one of my team if I was sick because I’ve lost “so much weight”. They were concerned that I may have had surgery or was going through treatment for something serious.

Good ride tonight. More traffic so it was harder to get up to speed BUT I got a dream run of lights so hardly had to stop so I could just keep peddling.

Don’t know if I’ll go for a ride in the morning or not because I’ll be doing my usual Saturday hike so want to save some energy for that. 99% sure I’ll ride tomorrow night at least though.
