Cate's Diary

:D It´s just a virtual dart board, and even that only has a picture of him. You´re obviously nicer than I am! Good luck at golf today :)
We started off well LaMa, but went downhill. My partner & I had started the day 4 shots up but ended up 2 shots down. I'm glad that I'm out there playing golf, & I can cope fairly well with not winning. R, my partner, was in a lot of pain & used my clubs so that she didn't have to push her bag & buggy around. We did ok considering. The 2 women who beat us were so chuffed. They are 2 of my favourites.

Hope you did well hitting that little dimpled ball with that stick!
I didn't unfortunately Brawny, but I played some absolutely marvellous shots in there. One had my mouth gaping & my partner & I both said "Wow"!
Those shots keep you coming back.
You think the creep has dimpled balls?
*shudder* Just thinking about that gives me the creeps.
Breakthrough-
I went out with G to 8-ball & S, the creep, turned up to play for the opposition. I really wished I had stayed home. I decided to not let him ruin my evening & I managed to just be myself & not let him get to me. He kept coming up to G & going on & on about his same old, same old gripes, but I just totally ignored him or hummed. G kicked me gently at one stage. :D I want him to feel that he doesn't get to me.
I slept well & didn't let him bother me. Win.

I have had a delightful day today. Went to the dentist's at 10.30 & discussed my options. Asked if my "bridge" can be done asap & it is going to be all done next week. :)
Met 3 very good friends for lunch at 12.15. Had a lovely natter & a delicious lunch.
We detoured on the way home at the pro shop of a course I am playing at in a couple of weeks, so that I could pick up a card for the course. We bought me a motorised buggy! It is a doozy! It will really help me get around the course. Our course is very hilly.

That sounds like a delightful day indeed! Getting dental work over and done with is definitely the best way. My golf-innocent self is assuming the buggy will contain just your clubs and not your lovely self?

Correct LaMa. It won't need pushing up steep hills or along the course. It will do that all by itself. I got myself one of these- http://mgigolf.com/shop/mgi-zip-x3/ :D
A good day is a wonderful thing!
It is indeed Brawny :)
Glad you had a lovely day and you slept well after the run-in with El Capitan.
Thanks, Em. It wasn't a run-in exactly, but any encounter with him is not pleasant. From now on I'm going to smile whenever I see him. He'll hate that. :)

We're off to the golf club again & I'm going to finish off the gardening job I started last week. Look out glutes!

Thanks, Jen. It will be good to get the dental work done & dusted. I hate having this ugly gap!
Gardening job done & am aching already!
I think it's time to go have a test drive of my new buggy :)

That made me laugh so much :rotflmao:
I'm glad I made you laugh :) (I always think "goofy smile" when I put this emoji).
I have decided to stay at home today as it rained half the night, more rain is predicted & I could do with a quiet day at home. I feel so much better now I have decided to stay home, rather than play golf with the men. I would rather go out & set my buggy up with my clubs on a day when I'm not playing, so will do that on Tuesday when G has his Vets' golf. That way I'll be all ready on Wednesday for the women's singles championships.
I may not do much today.

Cate!
Maybe you can totally trick out your new buggy!
You could install a boomin sound system and get some shiny rims on the wheels! Oh and some fuzzy dice to hang from the mirror and a bobble head of some sort on the dash!

My new buggy is too classy for all that :) The golfing women already think I am really silly/crazy. I love that word Wackeldackel. My dad would have loved it! He had this real thing about funny sounding words & weird nicknames. Mine was "Govinastack" or "Gove" for short, my older brother, who is far from tall, was "Big," my older sister, who fancied herself as being a bit glamorous, was "Gloria", my younger brother was "The Mangler" after a radio character & my younger sister was "Bee" as she used to say "Bee wants ....." Vladivostok was his favourite place name.

G & I are going down to our older son's house today. G is going to spray thistles as they are going crazy down there & I asked D if he had a job I could do. He rang me yesterday & asked if I would mind attempting to tidy up his shed. Mind? Hardly. That is the sort of challenge I love :D

It wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. In 2 hours I had that shed well & truly sorted. I think it is my forte. I could have made a living out of de-cluttering other people's houses & sheds. I love doing it.
