Cate's Diary

I thought that was very funny Emily! I might see what I can come up with on Thursday. I would need some overalls or braces. I have an old flannelette shirt........
I can't tell you how much better I feel this morning. My jaw still hurts a bit(chin really), but that will get better quickly. I can smile without showing the gap, but when I talk it shows. Oh well.
Down another half a kg this morning. Phew!

Thanks, Jen & LaMa. I'm out of the woods with the tooth, but I do look feral!
I had a really good day today. I went to the podiatrist & have been taught some really good tips, stretches, exercises etc & had some manipulation done to my feet that have them feeling heaps better. I also ordered a new pair of sneakers. I will start with it all tomorrow, before golf. I am playing in a foursome, which is funny, as there are only two of you. We alternate shots. I'm actually feeling very positive about it. I really like the woman I am playing with. We are developing a firm friendship. G & I have talked about it since he got home. He & I are this little unit & we do almost everything together. If that changes & either of us is without the other we will need to develop our other relationships. It will require effort & commitment, just like our relationship does.

Glad you are feeling so much better Cate and I guarantee that no one notices it as much as you do at least you can get the bridge in a few weeks. Well done on being down another half kg the other day too.

Just think - when your teeth are properly sorted this will soon feel like a distant memory! And I agree that it's always a good feeling when you start forming a good relationship with someone :) often makes me realise why people are friends with me in the first place haha!

Thanks, folks! I'm already not feeling quite as self-conscious about the gap. As you say, it's only temporary & will become a distant memory. I must work on my friendships a little bit more. I'm looking forward to golf today. We have gone from snow a couple of weeks ago to needing sunscreen today. It's going to be 25 C today, but in Tassie that can really burn you.

Hope you had a great day of golf Cate. 25 degrees C is like summer time I'd say it made you feel so energised to be out in the sun

25 C used to mean we got to take the garden hose to our sandbox to make tunnels, castles and mudslides :)
Cute!

Thanks, Morgane. It came as a bit of a shock after our snow 2 weeks ago. I enjoyed the golf, even though I didn't play very well.
Oh my God, 25 degrees! So jealous. It was the most miserable day here today. I'd love some sunshine.
It's such a relief to be out of Winter at last. This year was particularly cold. If it makes you feel better Em it's raining right now :)

While R & I didn't play particularly well yesterday we still got the best net score of the day & are in front of C-Grade by 4 shots. If we play even just a little bit better next week we should be able to win it. I'm sure we can, but whether or not we do, is another matter. It was really hot. I had to put my umbrella up to get some shade. Everyone else had theirs up early, but I find them really annoying. The sun sure packed a wallop!

I really find B gets under my skin seriously. I enjoy the women's golf when she's not there. She is one of those people who are holier than thou & never makes mistakes & is always so positive about being right. She keeps insisting that I voted for something at our women's AGM that I know for a fact that I didn't. I actually had left the table & gone & tidied up the glasses behind the bar when she was talking, but I couldn't exactly say that, could I? She was also adamant that another woman had voted for the same thing, but she knows she didn't too. I'm glad she argued with her though, but you never win. She drives me nuts. She is always ringing me up & pretends that we are great buddies. She can be vicious though. When I told G about some of the stuff she said yesterday he said: "that's why I won't go back on the committee". We were starting to waver. Thanks, B!

G went out to 8-ball last night & I stayed home. I had a snack about 8.30 incl. 6 squares of chocolate. I have to stop doing that. I didn't do it while he was away for a week.

Cate, lift your shirt for a second, will you? I´m not looking. Please check your stomach for a great big tattooed "Welcome!"
Thanks, B indeed...

It was 29c here yesterday which is a little warm for us but I hear a cool front is due in tomorrow Should be more fall like
Still much easier to exercise outside than our scorching summers

Yep. She has done us a very big favour. Just when we thought we felt better about the club B put her big mouth in it again & reminded us just why we are not going to get involved again. Well, any more involved than we are right now.

29c here is Summer. I am so glad it doesn't get stinking hot in Tassie!
I feel really slow, but I just don't get it?!
^see above^ It is such a saga but B has been responsible for a lot of our angst with the club. She is such a pain in the b..!
I have to go. We are going out there just to do some physical work, but not the rubbish. Maybe rake stuff up......

The sender is always responsible for getting the message across clearly: I meant that if Cate was getting back on the committee after all that´s happened she´d be acting like a walking-around door mat. Sorry Cate :(

I spent 2 & 1/2 hours yesterday out at the golf club pulling out weeds, while G mowed. There were quite a few people out there doing work. Today I can barely walk! I obviously worked my glutes
It's a beautiful day here- only getting to a top of 17c, so I thought I would do some gardening at home. G is off to play golf.
