Hope your visit goes well Butterfly. Try hard not to worry about the things that you can't change sweets xo

Doctor is only upping meds slightly so I don't think hunger will really be a problem! Blood sugar has been low. Weighed in at 302.9, which is up again. First small goal is to get back under 300. Logging food today.

Hi Butterfly.

I really empathise with you and the fact that the meds you're on make it a little bit harder to shake off the weight. It must be a bit daunting when you're at a bigger size and your goal possibly seems very far away.

On the bright side, small changes for you are really going to have a big effect. If you get into any kind of good routine at all, you will be amazed at the results. I used to be around 200 pounds and didn't change my diet at all, but just went from barely doing exercise to doing a few workouts every week, and little by little, things began to change for me. You can do this!

I know you said you find walking quite difficult - could you do 10 mins per session and do 3 x 10 mins every day to start with? That could help. :)

Thank you Emily, that sounds like a great idea. Thank you LaMa.

It's been 8 days since my last weigh-in. Been on the increased dose of meds for only 3 days, pharmacy had to order it. Been stressed and been turning to bread and chocolate, pretty much eating until I feel too sick to eat anymore. Been having panic attacks nearly everyday too. Okay, now for the terrible news. I gained 7.9 lbs. I don't think the meds are responsible for the gain, I think its all me. One interesting side effect which I read about and seem to be having is that food tastes better on this medicine. Which could be a bad thing if I keep turning to junk, but even healthy food tastes better, so maybe its a good thing. 310.9 is a pretty scary weigh-in, as much as I want to just throw in the towel I won't because I don't want health problems. Looked into an emotional eating support group again but I simply can't afford it right now and its not covered by my insurance. Not that health isn't a good investment, I just don't want to get into debt. My therapist referred me to out. She said either go into more intensive treatment or to this other therapist, who I can't afford. Don't really have time for intensive treatment with college, possibly when I graduate in May. But on my own found a therapy center that doesn't charge a thing so made an appointment with them for next week, it seems too good to be true but we will see. Ugh life is so stressful.

Well done looking for alternative treatment while the basics are hard enough already. 7.9 lbs in a week is mostly water and gut filling. Even if you ate ALL THE FOOD you wouldn´t gain more than 4 pounds of "real" weight. Still sucks, but only half as much at most. I really hope the new dose will do its thing and help you feel better again. Jedi hugs!

I went off track for a few months but I'm back. Weighed in at 318.9 lbs this morning. I've been eating a lot. I'll log food today. More later, going to try to catch up with other diaries.

Hi, Butterfly. I just looked back a little over your diary & saw that you would be graduating in May. Is life very different now? Hope you're feeling OK. Sending you another hug, just in case :grouphug: xoxo Cate

Yes, I did graduate! I'm looking into starting a business. I have more time now, which is good and bad. I'm trying to get into a new routine and I'm hoping to have that include a healthier lifestyle. Thanks for taking the time to look back at my diary.

Congratulations Butterfly :)
It will be good to move forward & make a new routine, without the stress of studying. Including a healthier lifestyle can be a part of your new big picture xo
