If it´s any consolation: hairless cats aren´t necessarily hypoallergenic. Most people are allergic to a protein produced in cats´ skin cells (which just happens to be very sticky when fresh and therefore gets stuck on and spread around along with cat hair). Jess: stop me if you´ve heard this before but if getting in shape is your top priority (as opposed to getting thinner) you should probably be getting off those shakes and on to varied, healthy food so you can get back to regular exercise (which I couldn´t do on your calories, but that´s because I´m a human garbage bin). Even though that´s hard when there´s a kid under your feet all the time.

I meant into shape as in getting thin again, LOL! I do want to build up my endurance and muscle mass as well but I'm starting with shedding the excess fat first. In my experience my body does not like doing both at the same time.

Don't worry, I do know what I'm doing. Believe it or not I've had years of eating healthily and training hard - it's how I managed to get pregnant with PCOS in the first place!

Part of the reason I'm not going down that route now is because my mental health is shot to oblivion. I know that if I tried to prepare healthy meals I'd go all out with huge portions and loads of snacking again (which is what I was doing before I joined here). That lifestyle requires willpower that I don't have right now.

The shakes are working for my immediate goal and like I said in my disclaimer, I know they're not forever. But to be honest I'd rather be fat and reasonably happy than well toned with no will to live. This diet is a pretty good middle ground between the two.

Yesterday's diary:

Breakfast:
SlimFast shake

Lunch:
SlimFast shake

Dinner:
Spaghetti Bolognese

Drinks:
16oz water

I was under calories yesterday which wasn't ideal. I fell asleep right after dinner, though.

:) Sounds good to me :) I´m glad you´re looking after yourself.

Yesterday's log:

Breakfast:

SlimFast shake

Lunch:
SlimFast shake

Dinner:
Roast beef with roast potatoes and vegetables

Snacks:
Tiny portion of cereal with full fat milk (you're right, LaMa, a bit of something in-between meals can really help sometimes)

Drinks:
8oz water
Cup of green tea

Exercise:
2 mile walk (I did one the day before this as well but forgot to record it)

I can now slide my jeans off without unbuttoning them and people I know are starting to comment that I look different. :) I finished off my first two tubs of SlimFast and got another one in the chocolate flavour.

Thankyou both! I remembering having to suck my breath in when I first tried these on.

We've been a bit naughty tonight to celebrate how well my partner is doing at work.

Breakfast:
SlimFast shake

Lunch:
SlimFast shake

Dinner:
Rogan Josh curry with boiled rice and 2 and 1/2 popadoms

Drinks:
8oz water

Exercise:
Hauling furniture around in preparation for our move

I really must drink more water!

My partner has a new water bottle so I can get back to using mine now. I sincerely need to - what is up with all of these 8oz days?!

Breakfast:
SlimFast shake

Lunch:

SlimFast shake

Dinner:

Half a chicken fried rice
3 vegetable spring rolls

Snacks:

1 and 1/2 large Greg's cookies

Drinks:

27oz water (and counting, I'm taking my water bottle to bed with me)

Well 27oz is 800ml according to the bottom of this bottle so probably? :p Haha I have no idea, I've always drunk way too little, I just never feel thirsty! If you want to be really horrified there was days where I drunk nothing. That's over now, though. I think I'll aim for 54oz a day for now

:rotflmao:
(On the other hand: I always do and if I don´t drink my half-liter during the night I down it in one gulp in the morning because I´ll be so thirsty.) 54 oz would still be extremely little water to me but for normal people it´s enough if they also eat fruit&veg and stuff like that. Even if certain magazines have been pushing for us to drink twice that (and I usually do so easily). Certain magazines are crazy.
