Greek yogurt has a better protein to sugar ratio.
You're absolutely right! Ever since I saw how much sugar is put into stuff like Activia yoghurt I've been put right off it. I'm right in thinking that you commented on my other thread asking what my diet was? At least now you've seen it. It's basically trying to keep low carb and then ruining it on the weekends with alcohol
Yesterday was a lovely day! Definitely not a diet day, but still a lovely day. I bought my dress for the wedding I'm going to next weekend. I don't go shopping for clothes often, so I had help from my mum and sister. I am also now the owner of a blue fascinator. Very posh! I'm going to at least 2 more weddings next year, so it looks like I'm entering the time of my life where my new fascinator will be getting a lot of use.
The tapas food was amazing. I have absolutely no idea how many calories, as we all ordered 3 - 4 tapas each and there were 6 of us. Luckily I didn't even like the really unhealthy looking stuff because it had cheese in it, so it got me out of trying those dishes.
Here is how the very loose definition of a 'diet' looked yesterday:
Breakfast
A boiled egg, 1 rasher of bacon and mushroom
(158 calories, 2g carbs)
Lunch
A chicken tikka wrap
(450 calories 27g carbs)
Dinner - I'm going to try list everything I can remember. Each thing was about a mouthful size portion *deep breath*
A king prawn
Half a scallop
Steak tartare
Pulled pork
Asparagus on toast
A fried quail egg
Deep-fried chorizo
Salad with strawberries
1 potato with cajun sauce
(Calories - ????? Carbs ?????) Anything from 500 to 1,000 I'd say. Maybe 50g carbs. I stayed away from the bread, pasta, and cheese that was on the table.
Drinks
2 teas, 1 pint of orange squash (20 calories, 2g carbs)
A sugar free lemonade (nil, nil)
A Diet Coke (nil, nil)
2 glasses of prosecco (184 calories, 4g carbs)
2 large gin and diet tonics (200 calories, nil carbs)
1 small glass of red wine (124 calories, 4g carbs)
Total - 1,636 - 2,126 calories (best to worst case scenario) aprox 89g carbs
It's been a lovely weekend. That's really I can say

One small victory I can have is that I went on the scales this morning. This is the first time I've been able to weigh myself in a morning since I started this thing (normally I'm at gym on an evening wearing trainers!). According to those scales I now weigh 10 stone 0.2lbs, which would be 6.8lbs lost
