DJ's road to 3 competitions in a row

So tomorrow starts a new journey for me. A new trainer, a new workout plan and meal plan. Kind of scary because I'm only 5 weeks away from a show . I know better than to make a lot changes this close to a competition but what the heck I wasn't responding to my usual pre-comp routines. The Oct. 13th show will be my 6th bodybuilding competition. Time to kick butt!

Yeah word on that, I was kinda surprised when you came to this forum and not bodybuilding.com or something like that.

Welcome to the forum DONNA

hey stingo thanks for the welcome. all sorts of routines, depends on whats going on with muscle mass, bodyfat, definition....etc. Diet is most important! Ask my trainer Big Stew!

Ok just got back from the store with all of my supplies for the week! Big Stew has me eating more food rather than Whey shakes so I had to do some stock up! Not too sure about Tuna and Salsa, if it's good he'll get a spot in the new cookbook, I'll call it Big Stew's Tasty Tuna Treat! Later all, gotta get cooking!

It is Excellent. One of my favorite diet meals is Tuna mixed with Salsa on Ezkiel Bread YUMMM

Ok, Day 1 with Big Stew at the helm! Meals went great until I got tied up showing homes, which of course pushed my workout back about an hour. So, needless to say the idea of eating an hour before working out went right out the window...lol. The workout was interesting. I am not used to doing straight sets so it was very hard for me to wait between sets. In fact it's a pet peeve of mine at the gym, people just sitting there for minutes at a time and hogging the machines, I usually superset, so there I was doing what drives me nuts...lol. I was supposed to do T-Bar rows, we don't have that machine so Alex told me how to improvise. The gal at the gym flipped out as was carring the bar to a corner in the gym..so went those! I did barbell rows instead, sorry Alex! I loved the seated lat raises and the decline tri-extensions were fun too! Anyway, I finished the workout in about 30 minutes and had my PWO shake on the way home, now it's 9:30 and I still have dinner to eat and I'm not hungry...........I'm whinning aren't I.........heheheh. Thanks for listening have a great night and look for more adventures tomorrow!

Day 2
Went well, except I was soooo hungry! Not sure why, I'm eating more food now than I ever did this close to a competition! Alex don't be mad, I had 1/2 a shake BEFORE my workout. It had been too long since I had eaten to workout on an empty tummy. The leg workout was quick and easy. I woke up 3 times during the night, tummy growling. I was good and just kept going back to sleep!
Day 3
Just cardio today and the first time for the off day meal plan. OK, I'll admit it, the tuna was good with the salsa. Alex has earned a spot in the cookbook! I'm suprised I'm not that crabby today........low carb day....hehehe. Well, that's it for now, have a great night!
