Can I do this for the rest of my life?

Vitamins - yes
Exercise 30 min - yes. I walked to bank and the hairdresser plus went for a walk in the conservation
No scale - yes
No grazing - yes
No sugar - I'm saying yes. The trick or treaters have pretty well stopped and the girls are splitting up the remainders.

Had a good day again today but for some reason I was really craving sugar today. Weird - yesterday was Halloween and I was great then today I get cravings. Not sure what that was about.
 
just take it day by day, giving up the sugar, usually sugar craving go away after a couple of weeks of not having any but every individual is different.
 
Sugar cravings do go away. I eat fruit when I crave sugar & that works for me. No one is ever going to convince me that an apple is not good for me. You're doing well ShariLee. Keep it going :)

I second that.

Cravings for sugar are often very, VERY strong, but as long as you tough it out for a week (maybe two) you'll notice that your cravings drastically decrease in frequency and intensity. I haven't really eaten sweets over the past three weeks. At first, it was pretty difficult to stay away but right now I honestly don't have much of a craving for it. It's just like kicking the pop habit - cutting out pop (which is pure sugar) is hard, but after a week or so without it your body starts to get used to not having it.

Plus, eating fruit is a great and healthy way to fulfill your body's sugar desires. An orange, an apple, pineapple, whatever. Better than a candy bar or a big bowl of ice cream, you know?

I had a pretty good day other than the grazing after dinner.

I did a cardio DVD this morning. I was hoping to go for a walk tonight but it started to rain really hard.

Exercise - yes (day 14) I Went for a run/walk and ended up running almost 3 km non stop! I'm going to try to add another block every time I go until I'm just walking the warmup and cool down

can feel it- in my clothes and in how I feel and look. I hated that scale some weeks. So I decided to take the scale out of the equation and try something else

This is so true! I also find that it helps to take a before and after picture. It's not always about a number on the scale :)
 
You're doing awesome! 11 days of no sugar is amazing. I'm glad the no-scale method is working for you. It's really upsetting sometimes to know you are doing everything right and that blasted number didn't change. It's like even though you feel better and clothes fit better - none of that matters because of number? Not a chance. Do what works for you and keep it up! You're doing great :)

Still carrying on. Tomorrow I'll be taking measurements for the end of my challenge. No real change on the scale so hopefully I'll see improvements in my measurements.

Drumroll please.....

In 28 days I lost 2.5 lbs and 3 inches. When the challenge started my scale needed a battery so I guessed my weight (165) but I was actually 170. I was hoping to get below 165 and did get a glimpse of it one day but then bounced back up. Hence my frustration with the scale last week.

I started the challenge off ok but slipped the second week. I stepped up the exercise the last two weeks. Yesterday was the first rest day after 15 days. Some days I had 2 workouts. The weather has been beautiful so I'm taking advantage of it and getting outside for walks and runs.

Thanks. I used to run years ago and it's something I want to get back into. The weather is so awesome right now that I want to do as many walks and runs as I can.
