TipsyToes Weight Loss Mission

My Jenny Craig delivery arrived for the next month!! Woo! It's like Christmas! Came home and there were these two giant boxes full of food and my meal plan. I probably enjoy this way too much, but woo!!

Mmmmm but I'm so tired at the moment... :( A lot has been going on recently; my Grandfather is in hospital and doctors aren't saying he will make it much longer... Family's distraught.... I'm currently taking over the role of Marketing Manager as my boss is going on maternity leave (while sneakily going through the recruitment process for this other amazing job opportunity outside of office hours)... And yesterday dealt with a bunch of legal blah after my brothers ex-coworkers currently being charged with corporate fraud and embezzlement harassed him on the phone and threatened him if he didn't lie to help cover their arses!

Looking forward to taking an annual leave day on Friday!!

O wow, that IS a lot to deal with! Kind thoughts for your grandfather and angry ones for your brother's former colleagues. My fingers are turning slightly blue from having been crossed so long, though. When will you know if you're getting the job?

Thanks guys :( he passed away today. We're all devastated. Not such great timing with my job interview in a few hours... But it is what it is. :( Feeling completely drained at the moment, so just trying to rally for the job interview. Hopefully I'll have an answer by tomorrow on the job situation!

Been doing everything to keep my mum busy, so a bit late on the update.
We had a sushi train today to keep her mind off things! I slept through breakfast, so was able to have a number of plates and a miso soup which was nice. We then went to the movies, and I tried so hard to limit the M&M's... Did good in the movie, but when we got home and had some time watching a movie, I'll admit it, I had a few :S Probably equivalent to a serving. So all in all I think I did quite ok!

Today we started with a Yum Cha for breakfast. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), as a vegetarian, I can't really eat 95% of the dishes on offer. So I had quite a light meal in the end!! The only vegetarian dishes that came around were desserts and a big plate of broccoli. So I had a single dessert and the broccoli.

We had a day spent shopping so I did about 6 hours of walking. I have no idea how many calories that converts to though, as it was very leisurely and I spent a lot of time standing still searching through clothing racks. I'm going to just add an extra 250kcal for exercise. Rather not over estimate. If I lose a kg quicker in reality, than what I should according to my maths... Woo! Rather that than weigh an extra kg in reality.

Amazing job keeping your eyes on your health in hard circumstances. Also: sushi choochoo!

The sushi train and a Yum Cha are one of my mum's favourite things to do when she comes back to Sydney! Sticking to my calories is definitely a challenge :( But having the control over my diet under unpredictable circumstances makes a nice change from how things were a month or so ago.

Had a late breakfast at lunchtime, lunch at dinner and snacks in the evening. It is what it is!

Kinda good day today. Did give into a chocolate... not a craving... but maybe an obsessive food thought brought on by boredom and a close vicinity? Was impressed it didn't turn into a binge! Since going off hormonal birth control 4 months ago I haven't felt any of the intense binge eating cravings I have struggled with for the past 8 years, but boredom eating is still a problem. At least it's not triggering a binge anymore! I had two squares of it, then made myself a hot drink to give my hands and stomach something to do.

I'll tell you though.. Having a house full of rice crackers, savory biscuits and chocolate is really testing me. My mum keeps pushing food and booze on me! It all comes from a good place, and most of the food is healthy (e.g. she was just trying to convince me to eat a sweet potato and broccoli, despite me still being full from JUST having put down a large bowl of Jenny Craig vegetable pasta... No one seems to take no for an answer the first 3 times...), but it has been what derailed my diets previously when I really struggled with binge eating. Kinda looking for

I am much impressed! I know that in theory chocolate can exist and be consumed in smaller quantities than "massive bar" but it's been a looong time since I had practical evidence of that.

Hahahaha believe me it's been a while since I managed anything less than "massive bar" also!! My boyfriend AND mother are such chocoholics! Each could easily go through a bar and more in a single sitting! Though their relationship with chocolate is like me with cheese (a lot harder to ignore than chocolate :D).

Excited! Starting to see changes! Obviously nothing crazy... but stuff that I would notice considering I live in this body! Lost all my bloating too at this point so feeling so much better :)

Ah... life without bloat is so much better! I used to eat chocolate WITH cheese. Writing it down I feel perverted (and hungry) but I'm afraid I'd still love it now...

So much better! No water retention or stomach problems on simpler food! But I get the cheese and chocolate - it's a terrible curse!

New Mini Goal:
Stick to the weight loss until September 17th to look damn fine in my dress at a fancy dinner event. I wore it once but ripped it stepping into a very high car on the way to dinner! Definitely wasn't designed for doing the splits in... By the time I stitched it back up I had gained too much weight and haven't had a chance to wear it since. I WILL wear this dress again and WILL look good doing it!

I think September 16th will be my weigh day. I will use this date to step on the scales for the first time and assess how much further I have to go to reach my goal of 53kgs. Thinking of the scales is scaring me already, but relying on maths and denial can only motivate me so far along my weight journey!

Yay for fancy events! The best thing about fancy clothes at dinner is that they rarely leave room to overeat :p

Do you have a photo of this dress TT? It sounds very fancy! You will do this I'm sure. Here's to being able to wear fancy dresses to fancy dinners :D

Definitely love a good excuse to dress up!! ;):D Simple but classy with gold sparkly heels, nice hair, evening coat and a gold clutch! And very figure hugging: Front & Back

Today's Jenny Craig Consult:
So I had a chat with my Jenny Craig consultant today who said she's doing Springtime mini goals with some of the other people on the plan. While I'm not weighing myself yet, she was saying I should find something to measure, whether it be shrinking back into a piece of clothing or watching the cm's on a tape measure go down. Something else to help keep me accountable which should be good!

I've decided I'm going to measure my waist each week starting tomorrow morning. I think my waist is the next body part on me to shrink now that my collarbones are feeling much more defined (seriously it's literally like I lose weight from the top down... collarbones, boobs (though they don't exactly stop shrinking either...), waist, hips, thighs then calves. #PearShapeProblems?).

Food Dramas:
We had a farewell lunch for the COO today, so I chose the superfood salad! Chose NOT to eat all of the walnuts and giant cream cheese ball on top, figured the salad already had enough fat in it considering it was tossed with oil (still not a fan of these unnecessarily oily salads hahaha would have preferred spare calories to eat the cheese ball :drool5:).
