Shellsy's 21 day count down!

Hey Missy! Funny that you asked about the puppy! As I was TRYING to respond yesterday, he walked in with the roll of toilet paper in his mouth! He is so big, and such a handful! As much as I love him, we're giving him away Saturday. No more Dogs ever again!! Cats rule!! LOL!

So had a great 3 days off! Ate very good! Today I had steak and eggs again for breakfast, and the soy milk smoothie Stingo recommended. IT tasted really good! I didn't however use a frozen banana, and I also used un sweetened Soy milk. I feel really good right now! I hope that wasn't too much food though, I know I was under before.

I can't lie either-I so didn't go to the gym yesterday! I was enjoying laying around in my pjs too much  . I so suck, I know! Least I ate good!

You're giving petey away????

YEAH!! I know I suck! It's just not fair to him and to us the way things are going!! We made it perfectly clear the type of family that can take him! I'm trying not to think about it too much cause I do love him! But Sara you remeber how awful things were, now that he a horse it's getting much worse. Plus like I said I don't have the lifestyle for a high energy dog like him. He requires alot of attention that I don't have.

I'm probably the only freak who feels this way but I hate CHICKEN! It freaks me out if I get a fatty peice, and it really kills my diet I feel! Yesterday and today I forced myself to get grilled chicken in my salad so I would have protein in it. But man is it rough! The guy behind the counter was laughing at me cause I looked so displeased as I ordered! And the places I went to is a good quality place. Any other options besides chicken?? OH also what are the odds of this- I found a bone in my can of tuna!!!! So now I'm grossed out with tuna!

To be absolutely honest, I haven't used a frozen banana in all the times I've made the recipe lol. I'm not entirely sure it's necessary. But I'd think trying to peel a frozen banana might be difficult - so I'd peel it, wrap it up well and put it in a freezer bag or plastic container. Then just be sure to use it sooner than later.

Thats what I thought as well!:D My friend freezes them when they start to turn black so she could use them for a shake still. She never wants to waste a thing! Smart!

They're also good for baking (as in muffins and pancakes) when they hit that stage too.

Feeling great today, wheather is awesome compared to last few weeks. Makes me excited for the summer. The only downer is I forgot my lunch at home- ! Tonight I go to the gym, I think I'm going to take the classes instead though. They have an abs class, then a body sculpting class. The way my sched. is working out seems I can make some pretty good classes 3 times a week. Plus I hate cardio sooo much and they force me to push myself!

Just about any exercise is good - and having a strong core helps with a lot of other techniques as well. Would only add that as much as you hate cardio (I do too) you gotta do it to help your heart.

Have you tried HIIT, Shells? I facking hate steady-state cardio, too, but I love the action and intensity of prettymuch any sport. So, I recently started doing HIIT. It's definitely not boring. It's tough, but I can get myself to do it..and the weight seems to have finally started melting off since I did. Plus, there's the added benefit of actually improving your level of fitness, something steady state doesn't really do. I also love the fact that it takes all of 10-25 minutes, tops. Did I mention it's not boring? ^_^

You'd see more goal-specific results than you would from an abs class, that's for sure. Not that there's anything wrong with an ab class, if that's what you want to do. :)

I agree! Thats why I'd rather take a class that combines strength training and cardio drills-best of both worlds! Otherwise I will end up walking on the treadmill praying for it to be over. IN all the classes I picked we use weights, stability ball, punching bags etc. The only time I ever stuck to anything was taking advantage of the classes. I will admit there was a time I couldn't stand the instructor at my old gym-but thats not the case so far at the new place. I'm sure in time I will have to do weights on my own, but I think for now its all good.

Food yesterday and today-

D-Porter house steak with broccli (made a rub for the steaks, man it was tasty)

had a emotional night, so I didn't feel like eating much. I barely ate my dinner

B-Soy Smoothie, cottage cheese w/ almonds

Yup the best exercises are the ones you'll do regularly. If you found something you like stick with it. It sounds like there's enough variety to keep your interest and to keep your body on its toes.

I totally Stink (hangs head down) This is why I bring lunch!! I got taco bell for lunch-3 hard taco supremes! And haven't drank any water, just diet soda so far today!

Now that I just fessed up, from this moment on I can fix my next decision......to fill up my water bottle! I don't need to get dehydrated in the class tonight!

Man I'm so TIRED right now! I hate this, its from the way I ate isnt it? This last hour of work is dragging as well!!

Sorry felt like venting

So if you have kept up wih me today you can see that I was falling apart earlier,But I got it together! I feel great! I'm very happy with myself, although I might not be able to move tomorrow. I also got by BF measured with this intresting gadget you hold onto-it was 29%. I thought that was bad, but the owner said that I should be between 20-25% for a female. Any thoughts??
