Zak's Weekly Diary Blog!

Sup guys its Zak

It's been two weeks since my last post so bare with me...

During these two weeks I have done a lot of weight training mixing it with cardio, at the moment, I weighed myself this morning and came on at 230.4lb which is not where I'm meant to be if I want to reach my goal of under a 100kg by May. I have 4.5KG to lose in 15 days so its definitely possible but it will require a very strict diet and hard work in the gym.

Therefore for the next 14/15 days I am stacking up on the protein about 170grams a day, and making sure that my carbs consumed are less that 100grams. At the moment people can really see a difference in me, but I won't stop here, I need to get on and go to the stage I want to be. Hopefully maybe have full set of abs, (Lets not get carried away) Hahaha. Once I've reached my stage of 190/200lb Ill start the abs challenge which should be at the end of june start of July. Then, I have a partner in my brother so we can monitor each other in real life which is definitely a big bonus.

Again lets not get carried away and focus on the goals which are in front of me and that is reaching under100kg by the start of May. Maybe I'll celebrate by buying some pair of shoes, (as this will not change lol). But Yeah looking forward to the next few weeks even though I have my final year dissertation, assignments and two big exams sandwiched in between + the crucial stages of the premier league and the champions league. Arrrrrghh!!!

Well, it's been a very bad end to the month unfortunately :svengo:

This past few weeks has been more focused on my exams and final year project, rather than my diet. I've actually gained, im currently 235lb, I know its bad. Literally, all I have been eating is junk, junk and more junk. No gym, no work out, just read, write and eat.

However this is the past, and it's definitely a hard thing to leave that behind, but yesterday I vowed to be back and here I am. I've been dreading this moment throughout the process of where I want to be. My time schedule has changed now and yesterday hit the gym for the first ever time after the break. Let me tell you, make sure you don't do this because I myself, was doing a cardio circuit training, thereafter did a chest and triceps, I started to bench press, that went well, carried out the usual, 40kgx10, 60kgx20, and then for my final hit did 70x4. After the fourth one, I was so tired, i had to get assistance from a random person in the gym, lowered the weight to 50 and I still couldn't do a full repetition of 10. After this, everything literally was K.O, I had to start of using lower weights and towards the end tried to do a few dips, and my muscle fibres in my chest were literally tearing so I stopped.

Again, It's been a bad few weeks, but I knew it would've come, now I have exams spread out I have time to take care of my health and looks much more better and trying to get back to my fitness. I am a bit skeptical on whether I should buy 100% protein shake, low carb, low cal high protein, as I try avoid carbs as much as possible.

Nevertheless, this week hopefully I have to stay strong and focus, because hopefully I learned that one will lead on to another. I am also making sure that I'll try and keep this updated every week as I know I'm slacking in this Haha.

Welcome back Zakk,

Good to see you back and I'm sure the little break won't hurt in the long term. Won't be long before you're back at full power in the gym and powering back towards that 100kg mark.

Sup guys

I am currently a non-student Hahaha, it feels good, no more exams, work. Nothing! (Apart from looking for a job >_>).

Anyway let's get down to business, Two or three weeks ago i was 107kg, i was dissapointed with myself, but now today, i weigh 224lb and im a proud man. I didn't really do much exercise within the past few weeks so i definitely know that i've lost muscle and not just fat, but this is where I am making sure that im only losing fat and not muscle now. I ate pretty healthy now consistantly but making sure i hit gum 3-4 days a week on weight training to make sure only fat is lost. Other than that, I am pretty happy with myself :D

Congrats on the non-student status and good luck with the job hunt.

Great work on the continued weight loss and upping the training. Remember to also get outside and show off the trimmer you now that the weather is better

Sup peeps,

Back in after a fortnight, I don't know why I don't update it every week lol, because I come on here every week, but just read over stuff. Maybe I should stop being a bit lazy lol. Anyways, my motivation for the gym is lacking badly (Maybe to do with not having a gym membership because I used a friends account for like 4 months and now he closed it down and I am broke as hell :p ). This shouldn't be an excuse really but lifting weights is the only way I know how to lose weight :banghead:

However, got my tickets booked for next month to Dubai then Djibouti, then Somalia (Northern Part as its more safer). I'm kind of getting nervous if I'm gonna lose weight because of the scorching weather or if I'm gonna gain because of the amount of meat they eat lol.

Anyway, I'm not going to lie, during the last month or two, I've been eating crap, not so much towards the end of May start of June, but still, there have been the odd takeaway meals, and the odd biscuit/chocolate here and there; But I make sure I limit it, this is very important to me.

But lets look at the present, 15th of June, currently weigh in at 217lb - Scale is a bit messed, because it said I was 213lb then took it to a different spot and said I was 215lb, tried it in kilo's as well and 97kg was showing, but I'll be on the safe side and call in at 217 which is pretty damn good without the gym. (Mostly by losing a lot of muscle mass, I know this for a fact >_> )

Either way, going from 289lb to 217 is pretty good statistics if you ask me. However, I still have around another 20kg to lose (44lb) because I don't want to look slim but lean.

I'm trying to open up a topic of my picture but can't get into my phone >_>

Anyway hopefully reading this can motivate myself more and other people who read it. :hurray: Next fortnight target 210 or under  Hopefully.

Agood luck hitting your next target. What sort of exercise are you doing now you don't have gym membership ?

To be honest, the only exersice I get every week, is when I actually go out to play 5-a-side football and walking probably 3-4 miles a day. I'm trying to cheat my way into another membership which one of my other friends has at the same gym ( I know it's wrong but it is hard times out here in England lol).

Ahave you got any household goods you can improvise with and what about bodyweight exercises ?

Yes, I was thinking of using body weight exercise, I've massively improved on this because before I couldn't do 1 Pushup, now I can do 15 straight in a row without problem. Still not good compared to people who can do 30-50 lol

Wow I feel really bad. I just had 3 pizza slices with a panini. Oh my god, since April, I've been gym maybe 3 times. Arrrgghhh. Need to look deeper within me and find out what the problem is. It can't go like this.

I have like a craving for pumping iron, but can't be arsed to go to it. :cuss:

Havn't felt like this before man, It is so hard trying to get back into the groove.

Ayou only need to get started back in the groove then it should all become habit agian.

Wow, its been a while since I have been on here. Just coming back but not good news.

Its been a crazy 6 months or so, in terms of my life and what I do now.

I have also gained a lot of weight back as well - just knew this would happen, but starting to lose it slowly again.

So the lowest I got to was 97kg, this was when I went on holiday, I used to eat a lot of meat, and pretty much how I liked, but the scorching weather up in Africa, meant that I sweated gallons - always. However, I brought that eating habit back to england when I arrived back, but the difference was that I wasnt sweating as much.

I am now 113kg, was 117 but started my regime again. People who haven't seen me in a while look at me and say 'Wow, you've gained so much weight' and this is the reason why I got into it again.

I found a new graduate job, and now have no excuses. I started of again this month and so far, i still have the eating healthy habit as I was used to it. However, I hope that I will learn from my mistakes and make sure nothing will get in the way.

It shouldn't take that long to get back to 97kg, but just making sure that I eat clean and train hard at the same time. I'll keep this posted, and I see that feelingooder has left me behind in terms of weight by a long shot! But again, people make mistakes and I have made one which won't change anything now and just need to look foward to the future.

Hoping that Saturday's weigh in will be 110kg or under, and I'll be pretty damn happy!

*P.S some of the clothes I used to wear don't fit me anymore, or got tight so using this as an measure of weight loss as well lol.

Back to 108kg

healthy eating (Still snacking a bit! Not too much though :D )

gym 3/4 out of 7 days (intense)

Next week 106kg :)
