Your Biggest Fear

This is going to sound silly but my biggest fear is moths.

What do you think about the book (not the movie) A Perfect Storm. Now that's something that really puts you there. :willy_nilly:

I'm not sure I've seen that one. Is that the one with George Clooney? If so, that's no prob, seen it several times. As long as the ship is on top of the water, or going down, that's no problem. I watched Ghost Ship several times as well, no problem there, even though the ship looks like a swimming wreck.

No, it's the ones under water, the ones that are overgrown with coral and all kinds of stuff...and just writing about it makes my mouth go dry and I suddenly feel uncomfortable....I think I need help! *lol*

Yeah, the movie has George Clooney, but the book is so different from the movie. The book is all real, which is so much better then Hollywood could do.

Wow, that is an odd one. Can you look at them, or is it just touching them? I'm thinking a hall of mirrors would be torture.

it's touching them, or looking at them if they're oposite another mirror. you know that hallway effect that happens? I flip out over that. like run in the other direction, flip out. Matt's just enough of a dick to taunt me with our wall mirrors whenever we move. he's a butthead like that. ;)

There is a carnival around here that has a hall of mirrors maze, but the mirrors on the outside are two way mirrors, so the people outside can see the people inside bouncing around. So much fun, but for some reason the kids always walk nose first into the glass. Damn, that's funny. :smilielol5:

I dont' think I could even watch other people go through it. knowing that they're running into mirrors would bother me. I hide in the livingroom when Matt cleans the bathroom mirrors. sad, isn't it? :D

no, that didn't scare me since I knew it was a piece of glass not a mirror. without that explanation at the beginning though, I probably would have gotten a little uneasy. I'd have made a complete ass out of myself if I had been one of the other people in that room. :blush5:

I didn't read the book, might just have a look and see if I can get my hands on it. I thought the movie wasn't so great...anyway, that's not a problem, since it's mostly ON the water (unless it's different in the book). It's UNDER water that scares me. Yet, I love swimming and diving, as long as I have a clear view of my surroundings.

I just remember the vivid description of what it's like to drown. :willy_nilly:

I'm phobic about snakes...:smash: ...can't even look at pictures or of them on TV...hate it when one of my favorites, Animal Planet, has 'em on all night!

This post was even hard to type

Speaking of freaky Ronald McDonald, my avatar on another forum is a picture of Ronald smiling with text saying "I'm thinking about eating you."

*edit* I deleted the picture just incase people really did have a true clown phobia.

LMAO! Darn, I missed it!

That would have been a freaky thing to see! LMAO! How funny!

Me... I HATE clowns!!!! I saw "IT" when I was seven, and haven't liked them since!!! Irrational... yes, but I think they should be banned!

It's kinda funny that "IT" caused a fear of clowns for most people...but for me...it caused a fear of gutters. To this day I cant step directly over one and if I even come close I get kinda queasy...I was always scared that there was something that would pull me in.

Which is kinda interesting, the fact that the clown never really bothered me. It's like even at a young age I recognized that "IT" was only disguised as the clown. I don't know if many kids could differentiate between the two.

I dnt like cotton balls. I'm not scared of them, but it makes me cringe to touch them and use them. And I will avoid doing ANYTHING that may result in someone sticking cotton balls in my mouth. (getting wisdom teeth out, etc)

You know there was a really messed up experiment back in the day where these docs adopted this orphan then basically gave him a phobia of cotton balls? lol

It went something like...they would put a white mouse in the kids crib, he wasnt scared at 1st, but then they would bang really loudly on the crib so eventually he associated the noise with the mouse. He eventually became fearful of anything small and white....like the mouse or cotton balls.

I know you said you don't have a phobia of them, but I thought that story somewhat related and was interesting.

I dont get scared by movies - ever. Like my friends will try and get me to watch a scary movie but it never scares me. Not gore-fest, ot psychological thrillers..movie do not scare me.

"Real Life" TV shows do though...things like Paranormal State on A&E - those kind of trip me out.

Besides that...Junebugs and Heights.

Bees.
I am 6'4 and 215 and I run like a sissy girl when one comes near me.

Saw the movie 'swarm' when I was like 6 and it messed me up.
