Diet and exercise is the way to lose it. If you can't lift weights, do body weight based stuff:
-push ups
-situps
-chin ups (if possible)
Anything that uses your muscles.
Chop wood. Move piles of lumber. Shovel snow. Play basketball. It really doesnt matter.
The way you best lose weight is from what you eat. The very best things to cut your diet is:
-juices/pop
-un-necessary quick burning carbs: pastas, white bread, pastries, cookies, etc.
If you stop eating those things you will dramatically reduce your calorie intake, and you will actually not feel as hungry...(which is hard to say, because I was always hungry at 17)
