WOW - u guys are awesome. thanks for the comments y'all. everyone here is great. and it makes me feel good to be able to share joy and happiness with other people...that's what makes me happy.
now, in response to Camelknees's post, here's a little hope - I CAN'T DO ONE EITHER!!! in fact, i hate push ups as much the next guy, but i sure do look like to do a lot of 'em huh?
as far as getting the pounds off, the first go round was just normal cardio. big lots had a spring fitness blowout, so i picked up a few workout dvd's for a buck each. for the second phase, i employed billy blank's boot came elite program. let me tell you - if you want to burn fat like a madman, THIS IS IT BABY! he has these wicked resistance bands with this program and the maximum power workout will make you scream for yo momma!!! but i lost weight like crazy when i was doing this. i went down by about 30 pounds in two months when i stuck to the program. and i saw INSANE muscle definition as well.
for this third (and most difficult) phase, i now workout for two hours a day, 6 days a week. i do an hour of strength training (resistance bands or free weights), then an hour of running, kickboxing, or swimming. switch it up often so u never get bored. because i do, quite often.
as far as my eating, i was incredibly fortunate that my body responded to meal replacement shakes. target has a 6-pack for 3 bucks and they are really tasty! i have one for breakfast, then another for lunch, then the rest of the day, i improvise with other fruits and stuff. by the way -VEGETABLES SUCK, but i try to fit them in. u have to in order to keep the system movin, if u catch my drift!!! allow yourself one slurge day per week, or two weeks. my weakness is the carl's jr double western bacon cheeseburger meal. YUM YUM!!! and i drink a serving of MUSCLE MILK right before bed. that helps me build muscle and burn fat too. i would HIGHLY recommend this to everyone. and it tastes like HEAVEN ON EARTH - almost everyone who uses it says that the taste is addicting!
