My name is Mayra. I'm 23 years old and I'm about 5'6. This morning I weight in at 243lbs. Which is the heaviest I have ever been. I have been wanting to lose weight for the longest time. Not just because I hate not being able to shop at regular department stores but also because of health issues. Diabetes and High Everything is a big factor in my family medical history. I want to get healthy and feel good about myself.


For the past few years I have been feeling real lazy and unmotivated. My life didn't turn out to be the way I wanted it to. I guess I hit a plateau and I have been stuck on it for the past years. But is time to move on. Today is a new day and tomorrow there will be a new me.


So my plan is to be 173-163 by May 30th 2012 (Birthday) I have decided to lose an average of 11-13 pounds per month. Which I don't think is bad. Please let me know what you guys think.


I hear different stories on when should you weight yourself in a weight loss journey. Is it good to weight yourself every day or every week?


I plan to attend the Gym 5-6 days a week.. I have a workout plan which I stayed up all night planning for.


My biggest problem will be the food. I work in an office 5 days a week. I barely get hungry. (with that being said I don't know how I gained so much weight) I barely eat during the day.. But when I do.. OH I EAT!! and I'm guessing that is why I'm overweight!!


So I decided to plan out my meals but I will be needing help with this part here. You see My problem is that I'm Hispanic and I'm not use to eating healthy. Eating vegetables and salads everyday is not part of our meal plan. But I will have to make it. I have planned out my meals for the next week. Any tasty recipes will be appreciated.
