Ok...this is it! This is the last time I'm going to lose this weight. I'm going to keep it off for good this time. I'm re-committing myself to a healthy lifestyle, gotta stay active!

I lost 15 pounds a few years ago and managed to keep it off for a year and a half (man, it felt so good!)...then I moved, changed jobs, etc and let fitness slide to the back of the priority list. I've gained back the 15 I lost and a few extra. *cries*

I WILL KEEP IT OFF THIS TIME!! I will NOT be a couch potato any longer! I'm going to get off my butt and MOVE!

My goal is to lose 19 lbs, I've lost 2 so far. The goal is 2 lbs per week. I bought my daughter a Wii and Wii Fit for her birthday ... ok, I really bought it for me. :biggrinjester: But hey, she doesn't have to know that. I bought myself the Personal Trainer "game" to go with it, hoping that will help as well...though to be honest I haven't used it yet. Maybe tonight? I enrolled my daughter in after school care and she starts tomorrow. Now I have no excuse not to go to the gym (that my job gave me a free one month pass to) after work. It appears the planets and stars are aligning and the time is now for me to get back on track so I'm going to snap to it. (Pray for me!)

I joined this site because I really need someone or some thing to help me be accountable. When left to my own devices I'm afraid I'll lose my focus. I'm trying to get a coworker to take this journey with me...but she hasn't made up her mind yet and if I keep waiting I'm not going to lose this weight.

One other thing I wanted to add, I'm considering cutting all eat except fish from my diet. I know I'll get my "southern girl" card revoked for saying that in public, but I don't eat it all that much anyway. Just something I'm considering...I'll see how that goes.

I want to do this as much for myself as for my daughter. I want to be a good example for her, all around. So, off I go....

Ok yea...so that whole no chicken thing didn't make it very long. :blush5: I had planned to run to Subway for lunch and get a salad, but a co-worker just walked in and handed me chicken wings. :reddevil: Yea...I ate 'em. *cries* I'm not going to stress over it, it's not like I ate a huge bowl of potatoes for lunch...it's protein and I need protein to build lean body muscle, right?

Today I begin my first Latin dance lesson. We are starting with the Bachata...I have no idea how to even begin, but it should be fun. Hopefully I'll burn some calories while I'm at it.

Ohh Bachata sounds like fun! I also joined a dance team at my school for exercise. It's a good workout and you don't even realize it because it's so much fun!

Good luck with your journey!:waving:

Thanks aj7x!!! I'll let you know how it goes when I get home. I'm pretty excited about it! :hurray:

Class was soooooooo fun! It i scheduled for an hour every Monday. I really enjoyed it and I worked up more of a sweat than I anticipated. lol I'm very happy I signed up for this! :cheers2:

Ok, for dinner...I'm thinking I'll have a fruit salad. I have strawberries, canteloupe, blue berries and honey dew. Ok..... a part of it is also that I'm lazy. lol I have left overs from Sunday's dinner for my daughter (baked herb and garlic seasoned chicken with rice and broccoli).

Or, I might have some baked salmon and broccoli. We'll see how I feel when I get out of the shower in a few minutes. :waving:

Ok, I decided on dinner. I had one Tilapia fish fillet baked - 80 calories...but I just had to have a garlic bread stick (threw the box out before I could check the stats on these). Not the best choice, but I needed some garlic. Had a bowl of strawberries for dessert.

All in all I think I did ok today.

Breakfast: Bolt House Farm Green Goodness Smoothie
Lunch: Fried chicken wings :ack2: and a Diet Coke
Dinner: 1 Tilapia fillet - baked, 1 garlic bread stick and a bowl of strawberries

Water intake for today: 2.5 liters
Fitness: 1 hour of Latin dance lessons (Bachata) - so much fun

I'll work to do better tomorrow.:coolgleamA:

Good work on sticking to plan today! You'll lose those 19 pounds by no time!!!

Did you end up using your Wii Fit yet? Im contemplating on getting one since lots of people have had weight loss success with it.

Thanks so much Angelica! I sure hope you're right! :driving:

As for the Wii Fit and the Wii, we've had them since Dec 31 and we have yet to use the Wii Fit...I know, I'm crazy. We've been kinda hooked on Wii Music. lol But I plan to set it up today...I really want to do that hula hooping! I'll let you know what I think of it!

Been super busy today.

Breakfast: Bolthouse Green Goodness Smoothie
Lunch - Grilled chicken salad from Subway (had sweetened tea though :leaving:)
Dinner: Likely will be another Tilapia fillet with water and more strawberries for dessert

Haven't had much exercise today (still at work) beyond running up and down the halls and the parking lot. :angelsad2: Maybe I'll get to that Wii Fit tonight. My daughter started After School today, but I forgot my workout clothes. *sigh* I'll do better tomorrow, PROMISE!

Tomorrow is my weigh in day so I have to get in a last minute workout and hope that it helps. *prays*

Your meal plan looks great! Goodluck on your weigh-in tomorrow, Im sure you'll do well!

Thanks Angelica!! Got on the scale and was down 0.5 lbs on one and 1lb on the other. I'm going to be conservative (and consistent) and count the 0.5 since that was the scale I weighed on last week. I feel really good about it all things considered though, afterall I'm bloated and (TMI, sorry) the vitamins I started taking last week have me constipated. Sorry for sharing so much. lol

At any rate, I hope to be down 3.5 lbs next week to make up for this week. Not really sure if that's reasonable, likely not...but I figure I'd shoot for the moon and if I miss I'll still be among the stars.

I was going to one of the local gyms that gave the employees at my job a free one month membership, but I decided to try Curves instead. I've known a lot of women who really like it and have had success there. Besides it's all women and that makes me more comfortable, for now. I called this morning and made an appointment. Going to have all my measurements and stuff done (scared!). I think that will really help keep me focused. I also like how it's only like 30 minutes and its a good mix of cardio and strength training. I have my workout clothes packed and in the car so all is a go for this afternoon! I can barely wait...well, I can wait for those measurements. lol

Ok, here's my food breakdown for today:

Morning: Salmon biscuit, only the top half of the biscuit though (not sure on the calories) - yea, I'm Southern lol and my Bolthouse Green Goodness Smoothie 140 cals per 8oz
Lunch: Campbell's Chunky Classic Chicken Noodle Soup ( 110 calories) and water
Dinner: Don't know yet
