Yarm's No More Excuses!

Woke up and exercised. Slept well- man that feels good, but does make it hard to get up. Dreary day outside, but got fired up early when discussing politics with my brother on the phone on the way to work. I probably burned calories just from venting my frustrations to him LOL.
Had a healthy brekfast, and more than halfway thru the water bottle and will be going out to lunch, but making wise choices.

Exercise: 25 min on NT
Breakfast: glass skim milk, lite english muffin, non fat yogurt
Snack: hard pretzel
Lunch: bowl pasta fagoli, chef salad w/less than tbls of dressing
Snack: small slice of chocolate mousse pie
Dinner: 1 grilled chix thigh, pasta, broccoli

Thing to be proud of: was planning of having snack after dinner, but after much thought decided I was not hungry so skipped it
Thing to work on: when work friends get a dessert that doesnt mean you have to if you are not truly craving it

That's funny. I have some friends where we have an unspoken rule that we don't talk politics or we can't be friends anymore. :cheers2:
 
Rainy dreary day, a nice day to sleep in . . if i didnt have to work! Didnt exercise this morning, and may just take today off. Emma wanted to come to work with me today 8). Have a few errands to run and I think hubby wants the family to go out for lunch, then off to a party for my niece.
I think my brother would like to lose weight and is hoping we can motivate each other, but don't think that he has made a speicifc challenge like I have.

Breakfast: puffed wheat, skim milk
Snack: banana, coffee w/splenda & creamer

It's my own personal challenge I created. Seems I am too late to join any current challenges, and can't wait on another one to pop up.

I had to update Saturday's stats. The day was a wash 8(. It started out ok, but by the end of the day, zero points.

Today, however, is a different story. I ate right, I took a nice walk and did finish my water bottle.

Exercise: 30 min walk
Breakfast: puffed wheat skim milk
Snack: half banana, rice cakes
Lunch: spinach
Dinner: ham, rice, corn
Snack: air popped popcorn

Thing to be proud of: back on track, not letting 1 day become a week
Thing to work on: start on water earlier so it's not so hard to finish

Finally, a day off. Couldnt really sleep in though, as I had to get the kids off to school. Got the yard mowed before it rained. The cable people were to come, but never showed . . for the 4th time! I emailed a letter of complaint. I also got all the laundry done, and swapped out summer for winter clothes.

Snack: whole grain granola bar
Lunch: meal replacement bar
Dinner: 2slices roast beef, pasta, broccoli

A cold, wet and windy day. Copied the picture I needed to send to my parents parish as they are having a Mass to honor those who passed away in the past year. Other than that, a pretty boring day. Got home and then headed out to do grocery shopping.

Lunch: lean cuisine, sugarfree jello
Snack: nonfat yogurt
Dinner: 1 slice pizza

Windy day today. Have choir tonight, so I made spaghetti early this morning to simmer in the crockpot all day. Will have whole wheat pasta with it and used 97% lean ground beef to make it healthier. Starting to think about Chrirstmas and getting shopping and baking done. It will be here before we know it!

Even thouh I'd rather stay in bed, I managed to pull myself up and get on the NT and do 25 min. After my showed I packed my lunch of left over spaghetti. The boss allowed me to come in late today as I had a few errands to run. I hit Walmart and got some candy for tomorrow, and saw some coats for only $45.00. Both I and Maddie needed one, so I grabbed two. They are really nice! Then it was off to Michael's for some t-shirts Emma needs for her Irish Step. And finally, hit WAWA for gas. I was pretty hungry at this point, but I grabbed a coffee and made a wise choice of a protein bar and banana instead of the bagel I was craving.

Exercise : 25 min NT
Breakfast: low fat protein bar, banana, coffee with cream/splenda
Lunch: leftover spaghetti/ whole wheat pasta, garden salad low fat dressing
Snack: fun size milky way
Dinner: bowl of homemade ham & bean soup

Thing to be proud of: good choice when tempted at breakfast
Thing to work of: be mindful of portion sizes - don't estimate

Happy Halloween!

Got up and knocked out my NT- working on making this a routine! Got kids up, had breakfast and out the door. Dr. Marcus treated to lunch today. I ordered a turkey and cheese on whole wheat toast with a schmear of mayo only. I added a side salad and allowed a slice of cake for dessert. Hubby called, and is having car trouble. I won't allow that interfere with my plans to spend sat night and sunday with my sister Kelley.

Exercise : 25 min NT
Breakfast: puffed wheat, skim milk
Lunch: turkey & cheese, LTM on whole wheat (only ate 1/2), salad, piece of cake
Snack: applesauce
Dinner: other half of turkey sandwhich
Snack: 4 fun size candy bars

Have to work today. It's hard to leave the house with hubby and the kids sleeping, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
I will be heading to DC to spend the night with my sister. We will check out some monuments after some Indian fare, and tomorrow get up early and head to Monticello.
I have my idea for the family "kris kringle" gift. I'm going with a fairy theme for my cousins better half. I got some wings and fairy dust so far. I have ordered some pretty glass magnets and hope to win and ebay auction on a fairy door( so cute! to welcome fairies into your home). I'm hoping to add either a fairy blanket, or earrings and then I will be done.

Wasn't at a computer to post Sunday's stats.
I spent the night at my sister's Sat. night and we got up early to head to Monticello. I wasn't feeling quite right, and was belching indian food on the trip down. Turns out that appearantly that food dosn't agree with me. Let's just say, I spent alot of time in the bathroom the rest of the day. I tried to eat a little lunch, but couldnt finish it, and by the time I got home, I was done for.

Exercise : walking/hiking around Monticello
Breakfast: mini wheats, skimmilk, coffee
Snack: granola bar
Lunch: 1/2 kids meal plain chicken sand, a couple fries
Dinner: none
Snack: none

A miserable night last night. UP about every hour with diarrhea and upset stomach. Would have liked to stay home today, but we are still shorthanded at work. Stopped at the store on the way down for medicine and some coke, which always seems to help settle my stomach.

Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling so well.
My youngest had some kind of bug on Friday.
Threw up 8 times in 12 hours. Needless to say he really was freaking his dad out. Since I am usually the one who takes care of that sort of thing and I was at work. Dh actually called at work. Which told me more than anything he could of said. He never calls. Heck he didn't even call when our dd fell and knocked 2 teeth outta her head.
Guess he can handle blood, guts and gore. But give 'em puke and poop and he falls apart! hahaha
Get to feeling better soon.
 
Tuesday

Woke up feeling better, but still not 100%. Still have some diarrhea and cramping, but generally speaking, my entire body feels better. I think that is because I got the sleep I needed. I came home after taking Emma to irish step class, and crashed on the sofa @8 30pm. Not feeling safe about breakfast yet, nor exercising. I asked to come in late so I could vote and not have to wait in long lines, which was a good call because at 9am I was able to get in and out no problem.

Exercise: none
Breakfast: hot tea
Lunch: little chicken noodle soup
Dinner: little bit of rice, carrots, 1 slice chicken breast

Wednesday

Didn't get alot of sleep last night. Not sure if it was because I got so much the night before, or because my mind was racing due to the election stuff. I went to bed with my tummy still not "quite right", but when I woke up things seemed good. I did have a bowl of cereal and milk. Not sure if I will tempt fate with exercising today, but if I feel good all day, I will get a work out in tomorrow for sure. I have to stop at the pet store over lunch so I can try to find a barrier to keep Finnegan in the back of the new SUV as to keep his hair in one area. He has a vet appt on Friday. Oh, and I did start my water today @ 11:00am. (It's easier for me to finish if I start it before lunchtime.)

Well, today seems it's gonna be another challenging one. My youngest woke me up at 1am letting me know she got sick in her bed. ANd boy did she ever- what a mess over 1/2 of the bed. SHe is still sick today, and turns out hubby came home from work by 10am with the same sickness. Am staying home to care for both of them, and will have the entire day not only to do my regular thursday chores, but to disenfect the house from whatever this bug is. Joy of Joys!
Oh, I did lose weight, no surprise after suffering from my own bout of illness.

7lbs down total. Happy it's down, not exactly as planned being so sick contributed to it.
