xsarah21 Diary to a slimmer Woman

Question??

its a good start :)

i was wondering is there a certain amount of calories i need to burn each day in order to keep losing steady weight??

You've broken your plateau, I think you deserve more credit than you're giving yourself :)

I don't work on the principle of calories burned, so I'm the wrong person to ask on this (my understanding is that it's extremely difficult, if not impossible, to know how many calories you really burn through exercise, without professional help, and that any tools available to the general public are very inaccurate). The calculator I directed you to adds calories to your allowance based on your exercise level, rather than you taking them away- that system has worked for me. For me (25, nearly 5'6", bit over 143lb- I'm nearing the end of my weight loss journey) being lightly active gives me an extra 150 calories a day to eat to lose a pound a week, and another 250 on top of that if I'm moderately active. That's worked very well for me so far.

That being said, I've done almost no exercise for the last two weeks (I've had an injury and been unwell) and still continued to lose weight (half a kilo or a little over a pound a week, which I'm happy enough with), even without adjusting my calories to show that I'm sedentary. (Your mileage may vary)

after weeks of staying at the same weight losing this 1lb has made my day completly :) and its all thanks to your advice,

you have done extremly well with your weightloss :)
congrats to you for that

ah ok i just curious that was all, what im doing is working great for me ill be fit and healthier come the new year :)

Yesterday - 22 June 2011

I had a bit of a slip up but its not the end of the world!

wednesday are always a day for Shopping so was busy and didnt get much exercise in

but

its ok as was doing lots of walking which made up for it :)
i will be weighing myself at about 9.15am :)

Everyone slips up. (I had my first major mess up yesterday, actually) I like to think that as long as your habits are better than they were, and as long as you can improve yourself one day at a time (and it's still worth thinking "on a good day, I'm 95% better than I was. On a bad day, I'm still 10% better than I was, so I'm still making progress"- numbers may vary for you, but hopefully you see what I mean).

You're doing well overall :)

it will be much easier when i start jogging and running combined on monday,

im nearly prepared and equipt to start, actully looking forward to starting :)

But it's your hard work that's getting you to where you need to be. Don't forget to give yourself (at least) 95% of the credit.

quick question??

what are the best form of exercises to tone arms, hips and stomach??

any site links that i could look at?

thanks

You are doing great!!

I don't know much about calorie counting, I count ww's points I can have a lot of free foods such as green beans, greens of any kind, carrots, celery, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, whites beans, asparagus, beets, cucumbers. All of this are low in calories and are good for you. I try to have a good healthy breakfast and a good healthy supper. To day I started the slim fast died, but still watching the points. I can have a vegetable and a sensible supper. I have eleven points left. I plan to have a rib eye steak and baked potato and maybe green beans and 45 cal multi wheat bread and some water melon.

Good luck to you!! :hugs2:

i have a problem!

i think it could b to do with stressing about my holiday in 11 days!

im trying to get back on track but its hard at this time.
