wrkout routine question - should u work certain muscles together ?

hey
im just wondering ... is it better to work certain muscles with each other for a workout ...

like is it best to work chest and shoulders on the same day or something ? get best results ... maybe u use chese for some of shoulder exercises leading to better results ... or does it completly not matter at all ?
hope someone can help .. thanks

work your larger muscles first followed by the little muscles.

Monday: Chest, back, legs
Tuesday: Arms, Shoulder , Calves
Wednesday: Rest
Thurday: Chest, back, legs
Friday: Arms, Shoulder , Calves

Sat. / Sun. Rest:

Thats my routine.

2 day splits are good for beginners, however stalefish if you are more experienced you'd want to split that even more towards 3 or a 4 day split. Its very hard for a non-beginner to put maximum effort into a workout if hes gotta hit legs, chest AND back. I like to put legs on a separate day, then pair muscle groups with arent related in exercises.

Why not do a full body workout? Select 5 basic lifts and start off with a couple sets of each (assuming you're a beginner). When you work up to it, perhaps then consider breaking off into split routines, but you can actually advance farther than you think just sticking with full body routines.

i used to do full body workouts .... and sometimes i still do.
but i like the splits because each workout can be intense but i wont be exhausted at the end. i still am really worked out after a workout .... but with full body it just seems like a marathon of weightlifting heh.

i will change it up tho ...
jp, for full body workouts ... which days do u do them ? what i mean is how often ... every second day ? third ? because i think every second day wouldnt leave u much rest for growth and recuperation.

thats why im choosing split ... it gives me alot of time to recover for the muscle group that i worked out.

and ethan01, wat are you meaning by 3 or 4 day split ?
thnx
