wrist popping after hitting heavy bag

I let off some steam on a heavy bag the other day with a couple of different kinds of punches and inside strikes. I didn't wear any gloves. The skin on my knuckles were sore the next day, which is understandable, but what I'm worried about is that my right wrist started popping alot. Any little movement caused it to pop. It was a little sore, but the popping is what was most noticable. It's better for the most part now, but it's not 100%. Is this something that will go away or get worse if I decide to punch something else again?

Hitting on a heavy bag raw....may not be the wisest thing to do.

Your form is probably off, when it comes to striking the bag. Your body is giving you some nice warnings .....LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.
Next time:
- Wrap up and put on gloves
- Go through some drills to get your nervous system and muscle receptors ready for the onslaught (neuro-muscular efficiency).
- If you must throw "hay-makers" keep aware of your form (don't over analyze just be aware)

Re-cupe the wrist:
- Ice it up
- Squeeze a tennis ball
- Eat and sleep properly

Goodluck to you
