Wrist hurting Tendonitis

my left wrist is alot weaker than my right, for obvious reasons:p thing is, i think i kind of hurt my left wrist some time ago doing some not very good punches on a punching bag, so now it sometimes hurts, and it easily getts infected, not like really bad infection.. tendonitis. a doctor tells you do just massage it and get the blood flowing, dont do resistance training while its on and sometimes they give u some pills that helps. anyways, i was just wondering if there are any exersices or something i could do to prevent this? my forearms are also relativly weak, and i dont want to stop building strenght in them, but if anyone have any idea what could help?

Forearms

I don't know if this will help you or not. I personally do not do any direct forearm training and my forearms are easily up to par with the rest of my body. Your forearms are pretty much directly involved in most of your lifts. Anytime you lift a dumbbell or bar or your body weight (think chin up) your forearms are involved. You have to grip the weight .. grip = forearm use. Do your wrist hurt when you are doing general lifts or only when you are doing "wrist focused" lifts ? Try some farmer walks ... hang from a chin bar .. heavy dumbbell shrugs ... deadlifts ... try holding some heavy (heavy for you) DB's in each hand as long as you can squeeze the DB's. Just don't drop them on your feet  I think these movements will strengthen your forearms. Of course if they cause you pain, then refain from doing them. Remember this is JMO. What works for me doesn't necessarily mean it will work for you or others. I am just offering advice. Hope it helps. Good luck to you. I'm sure others will leave their advice as well.

i dont do direct work on them either, but i was thinking of special exersices that will help? maybe some stretches that work or whatever

There are exercises that can help relieve/cure carpal tunnel, but I don't know of anything that helps with tendonitis. Are you sure that's what you have?

not really.. but carpal tunnel is when you feel numb or hurt in ur whole hand? for me its really mostly the tendon to the thumb. it just hurts if i use it alot.
you dont know any way of telling for sure?

carpal tunnel will hurt from the middle finger to the pinky and up to the elbow.. re your prob:- ease up on the repeative motion that seems to cause the problem and allow around 6 weeks for the inflammation to go and help up ..

Check out he has some rehab insight that's really good.

Warming the area semi-frequently and high repetitions will help with blood flow.
