Wrist hurt..

my right wrist has been hurting for a week now... It started hurting after i lifted some weights one day.. any reason why? and what i should do to stop it from hurting?
 
Is it your first time lifting weights?? Cause thats what happened to me. When I started lifting weights my wrists used to hurt.
 
As exile stated...if it is your first time working out or curling, the stress on the wrist joint may be the culprit.

If you had trauma (blunt force), you would have swelling, bruising, and loss of ROM. If it just hurts when you lift, its because the muscles are weak.
 
Sometimes my wrist hurts after I bench press. I think it just has to do w/ all the stress that the weights place on your wrist. Just take some time off (5-7 days) and it should get better. If it doesn't feel any better after that, go see a doctor.
 
It happens, my wrist used to hurt when I work out thats why I started using wrist bands, it takes some of the stress off the wrist.
 
my wrist did and STILL IS hurting. at first it was just a minor pain but started to get worse until one day (2 days ago) i messed it up at work really bad. I'd reccomend you take about a weak off from stressing it like triplec223 said and if it doesn't get better go see a doctor. I need to go see one myself o_O.
